Atalante looked at the palantir fragment and then back at Roina, dark eyes glittering. "Fine. Tell us what you would do with it." She obviously did not like the elf, but felt honor-bound to ask her and do what was needed.

"First we need to find two good sized rocks, granit is the type preferred..." she said, as she ran into the forest, coming back with one rock just bigger than a fist.
"Like this, it's about four times the size of the shard, and should do..."

Atalante looked at Roina, then at the fragment of luminous stone, and then at the ground. She stood, silent, for a minute, then unwillingly set the shard down on the hard-packed dirt and left it, her fingers lingering a little.

Roina was setting the rock she found on the ground, when she heard Natalia shriek. Roina ran over to were she was, and smiled, but only a little. She took out her sword, and cut off the snake's head. The head still moved slightly, so roina kicked it into the wood, and picked up the body, and threw it into the wood also.
"pesky little creatures," the elf mumbled, and stayed were she was until a few more unwanted guests showed up...

Roina nodded, she helped look, and kept her sword unsheethed. She ran into two more snakes, both smaller while looking, and also had to kill a few fist sized terantulas. When she saw each of these, she shivered, remembering the giant spider in a cave over Minas Morgul. That spider was called Shelob, and Roina had seen her four times, which were four times too many...

((wait... I remeber that Roina didn't tell you her real name! She said her name was Ruby, wich it isn't... So call her Ruby when you speak to her, because you really wouldn't know what else to call her...))

Nataila bent downwards to examine the pile of rocks. She ran a hand over them, searching. Soon, she saw what they needed. "I found one!" Natalia called out to the others.

Roina examined two more rocks, and put one down.
"Found another," Roina said, walking back to Natalia, and handed the rock to her. "I can't shatter it, so you'll have too!"

Atalante still looked resentful of the elf's superior manner. She stood silently, arms folded, obviously not intending or wanting to have anything to do with the process, though her gaze was drawn as if by a magnet toward the glittering shard of stone.
