Congrats everyone! Nice banners/awards, Melda! (and I have an idea for next year... how about there's a limit to how many awards a member can get. Gives other rpers more chance for an award.)

I had actually considered that, Eruraina, but I'm not sure how it would work unless we limited the nominations per user, which seems a bit unfair - I mean, it is about the BEST character winning. Also, gives the rest of us some motivation to improve. I do, however, see your point, and if it becomes too much of a problem I may address it. I'm still learning too.
Thanks guys! And actually, potr did the banners. I can only manage lowly awards since real life conked me with a frying pan. She did a beautiful job. Sorry to have missed you with this year's awards, Sojourner - I'm sure that as long as you hang around till next year, you'll be in on those ones

You're welcome, guys I couldn't have done it without your nominations. Also, as Eruraina has reminded me, comments and suggestions for next year are always welcome - please do give them if you have anything on your mind.

I see where you're coming from Ara, but I think it would make more sense to have the character withdrawn after a certain amount of wins, as opposed to the RPer. As long as someone isn't sweeping the boards and winning every category, they would stay in the running.
Congratulations to all the winners, last year's and this!

Yeah, that's what I meant, but didn't really clarify. Or maybe there could be a maximum of three or so nominations per person too. I don't know - it's really up to Meldawen because she makes the final call.

I see the point you guys are making, because there's definitely the possibility for a certain character or RPG to dominate, especially if they've been around for a long time. But on the other side of it, it's not 'Best Lead Character' if the prime winner of Lead Character is disqualified for winning it too much. Also, very few RPGs survive from year to year, so we'll be seeing fresh characters with every summer.
Really, the best thing you can do for that is to nominate. If the only nominations I get are longtime characters, those will be the only characters in the polls. The more variety there is, the more chance there is.
I'm not tossing the idea out the window, far from it - I see the value, because while I think that the best character should be the character that wins, the fun is somewhat diminished if they win by a ridiculous landslide every time.
Thanks for the compliments Don't forget potr deserves her due as well - she did all the personalized awards, mine are just little sparkly rectangles.
