Malachi smiled slightly. "You may make a good warrior yet. But remember, your honour is only as good as your deeds. I knew many who were sung of far and wide, but were craven in actuallity. Bards, the over-glorify and spread false honour. But true honour, even if you are not recognized for it, condemned for it, even, is something that you can die for, and be proud to do so." He said, a fierce glem in his eyes.

She took a sip from her new glass not letting her eyes meet his. "He's going to join the Lycans." The thought burnt through her mind and she stared at the floor scared that someone would see it in her eyes and she would betray him.
"Oh how I wish we we're not forced to choose sides Malachi, i do not want to fight you my master." She hid the knowledge from her eyes and looked at him.
"It is true, but there is also the houner of the foot soldier. Who despite knowing that they will not be rewarded or remembered but despised by those they love, despite knowing that they do not fight for the better cuase, still uphold thier houner and fight becuase there is no other option."
She knew she had just declared herself and she knew that he would now regard her as an enemy; but still she tried to justifey it. She did not want to loose him so soon.

Malachi spat on the ground in disdain. "There is always another choice, Theia. The foot soldier can join the enemy. Show his good will, use the weapons of his former allies against them. And he must not show his former comrades mercy. For they will not spare him. He always has that choice" He said, reading Theia like a book. If they were to meet on opposite sides, no amount of pity would spare her.

Theia looked striken at his words and understood the full meaning behind them.
Then a look of determination came into her eyes along with a great look of sadness.
"I am sorry Master; but i cannot break my loyalty to Victor. I understand what you must do and i understand why and respect you. But i cannot betray my lord." The word betray was not chosen idely but she gave a low curtsey and bowed her head. "I am sorry Master." She turned and walked up the hall towards where Victor sat and took a seat at the side of the hall. Only then did she allow a single tear to fall down her face.
She did not want to fight someone she so much respected...but she supposed dieing at his hand was better than dieing at the lycans.

'Malachi watched Theia leave, then sighed. 'so be it' he thought, reaching for another glass of wine. If Theia was to join Victor, her own enemy, and dishonour herself by killing such slaves, those whom she had no right to kill, he would take pleasure in removing her from this world. Let her die a warrior's death. That would be his mercy.
