"Put that away" Kith muttered to Elendi under his breath. In these parts an exposed dagger was an open threat. "but keep it handy" he added. "It''l be safer to stick around here for awhile."

"Speaking of which," Braad said, "is there anywhere around where I could get a dagger for not much money?"
By "get" he meant "steal" and by "not much money" he meant "free".

Braad smiled his thanks, slipping the dagger into his belt. "I feel better already." he said, then propped himself up against a wall to try and get some sleep.

"I'm glad too" Kith growled softly. "Now lets move." If we head north at a steady pace I'll be able to get you into some safer territory, and you'll be ably to bo on your lovely way. Stick close." He began to walk through the crouds of people that swarmed the dock. Further up it would be less crowded.

Braad pushed himself up from the wall and followed Kith. He tried to keep his head down and not give anyone reason to remember him. That was something he had learned long ago-the fewer people who recognize you, the better.

Elendi erased her thoughts and worried about not making eye-contact. There where few women, if any at all, in the blasted city and with her being a woman...well, she didn't think it would be good to act friendly or defensiless.
