Gabriel listened all talk and discussion like he does not care with boredom. He just looked at the vampires who talked energically all night and approved their words by nodding his head. His eyes mostly were on Isabella. However, he had some doubts that he had made a very good impression on her recalling that the moment when he introduced himself to Isabella. He waited till the meeting is over and then noticed that she stayed and he took this chance to talk with her but when he was about to get in the action, her beautiful eyes turned to him all of a sudden. He forgot what to say instead he answered her question. "Yeah, sure why not? are you? he said in an entertaining manner. He stayed as cool till she got blushed. "Would you want me to accompany you?"

Isabella smiled at Gabriel, glad to see that he liked the idea of accompanying her. She was glad she was not just making a fool of herself. "Yes, that would be nice," she replied and stood up. She walked towards the door and it opened in front of her seemingly by its self. She loved her power of telekinesis and used it whenever she had the chance. She smiled at Gabriel again as they walked outside. "You didn't say much in there," she said to him, wondering what his opinion on the Slayers was.

Now there were two vampires against three Slayers. Although they were more powerful in numbers, Elisabeth was still worried that it would not be enough. Vampires did have powers. The male vampire lunged for Peter, and Elisabeth lunged at the female with her dagger raised.

Gabriel smiled as Isabella accepted his offer. He held out his hand to her to help her stood up and pulled away as she stood at his own feet. He let her go first "Ladies first". Gabriel was about to get in front of her to open the door for her but it was opened by itself. He stepped out the door after her. "Well, to tell you the truth, me neither listened the current situation that happens nor understood because I was looking at you at that time. But I do think slayers are potential enemies do not worry while I am around. you have nothing to fear about them."

The Slayers and the vampires fought on for what seemed like an eternity. Elisabeth was so exhausted, she didn't know how she managed to stay on her feet. She swung at both the vampires, trying in what seemed in vain to disable one of them. It seemed as if the Slayers were fighting a losing battle. Elisabeth slashed her dagger at the male vampire. "Go back to the Underworld where you belong!" she yelled at him, "We are Slayers, and we will defeat you in the end. You might as well just give up now." She didn't know, but maybe taunting them might work to distract them a little.

Carryn fought off the slayers attack and tried to get at his throat but came up short so she got out a dagger and started fighting

Prokiam parried the dagger from behind with his own dagger. He hooked the Slayer's dagger with his own, making it difficult for her to use it. He then began to bring his sword towards her.

When the vampire parried her dagger, Elisabeth felt the force of it jar her hand. She let out a growl of frustration as she felt it fall out of her fingers. As he brought his sword towards her, she jumped back, hand reaching towards her belt trying to get to her other dagger. But as she jumped back, her foot caught on a root, and she tripped. Her breath was forced out of her lungs as she slammed down to the ground.

Adain smiled back. For some reason, he felt a connection with her despite the fact that he had only known her for a little while. "Would you like to take a stroll perhaps?" he asked, but before Alyth could reply, a bat that had been flying towards them suddenly changed into Damien, a young vampire that Aidan knew.

"Aidan!" Damien said urgently, "There's trouble!"

"Trouble?" Aidan asked, immediately on guard.

"Yes, Slayers. In the forest. Prokiam and Carryn are fighting them."

Rage filled Aidan, he turned his eyes back to Alyth. "Let's go. I think it's time to rid ourselves of a few Slayers."

Isabella blushed when Gabriel said that he had been looking at her during the meeting. What's wrong with you? a voice screamed in her mind. She had never blushed so much in her life. She was usually, confident and sure of herself even at times arrogant, but when he complimented her she felt like a shy little girl.

"Thank you," she said when he said that she had nothing to worry about when he was around, "That makes me feel better."

She was looking forward to a nice walk with Gabriel, but her hopes were dashed when she saw Gabriel talking to another vampire who had not been part of the council. Slayers! This was just great! Could she not even have a peaceful evening?!

Prokiam smiled, revealing his sharp pointed teeth. With his sword pointed at her neck, he stepped on the Slayer's dagger. "Your skills are impressive," he said. "I will give you that." He made sure that she was totally defenseless before swooping in to bite her neck.

Elisabeth cried out as she felt the vampires fangs make contact with her neck. Tears of pain sprang to her eyes. It hurt badly. In that instant she saw her life pass before her eyes. She knew that he was going to drain her of her life blood, kill her. She wasn't ready for that. She wasn't ready to die. She wanted to live. "Wait," she pleaded as she feebly tried to push him off her, "Please don't kill me." A part of her was screaming for her to stop begging, to die with dignity, but she couldn't do it. She didn't want to die. "Make me one of you instead." That part of her that still had dignity, the part that was not terrified of dying, screamed at her again. How could she betray her people by even suggesting such a thing? But she quickly pushed the voice away. She would do anything to keep from dying. She was so afraid to die.

"As you wish," said Prokiam. He spat some of the blood back into the wounds that he had created. That transmitted the virus that the vampires had. He waited for the effects to take place.
