Jack made a split second decision. The stairs, complete with the blood, would lead them directly to the cause of the screams. The lift would get them up quickly, and there was a good chance they would miss where the scream were coming from. Despite the fact Jack wanted to help whoever was in pain, his job was to find the generators. Following the blood would sidetrack him, and that was somthing that he couldn't afford. He steppend onto the lift, noticing how close he was to Roe. It wasn't his fault that he was practically squished against her. It was these small elevators. There was no room to move apart. Mentally thanking the genious architects, Jack pushed a suave smile onto his face.

Roe smiled back, cutting off thier conection as she did so. He'd feel it mentally; though it wouldn't hurt. She pushed against him as she lent around him and pushed the button; the lift shuddering into life as they began to move. She lent back. "Sorry"
