In a quiet forest not far from Cair Paravel, the leaves of a tall willow tree rustled and her branches swayed, but there was no wind. Suddenly the tree began to shake, small tremors that would have barely been noticed by an passers-by. Then in a burst of small, swirling green leaves, the tree disappeared and suddenly there was a young woman standing in its place.
She was tall and slender, wispy much like the willow that once stood there. She wore naught but a loose light green dress made of thin, flowing material. Her dark hair hung unbound almost to her knees, and her light green eyes took in her surroundings with love and admiration. Her forest.
It had been a long time since Nyda had taken on her human form, and it felt good, refreshing. With a smile she walked over to the babbling brook and splashed some of its water onto her face. Then, briskly, she made her way towards the edge of the forest.

Jaleel cantered up to the gates of Cair Paravel. Saluting with his fist to his chest, he handed the captain of the watch a sealed scroll.
"From Baliar the Hare, Captain Tranimar. He is on the borders of the western lands." The captain received the scroll dubiously, praying for good news. While it took some time to stamp out small rebellions, Narnia had been rather quiet for a while.
"Is this to me, Jaleel, or am I to take it directly to the King?" How he hoped he would be allowed to read it. Direct messages to the King always proved unfortunate.
"You may read it, Captain, and decide what the course of action it is you wish to take," Jaleel replied in a deep voice. Heaving a sigh of relief, Tranimar broke the seal and began to read.
From Marshall Balilar, to Captain of the Guard at Cair Paravel, greetings. Something has come to my attention that, while small, may in fact prove greater than it seems. While in the forest yestereve, I noticed signs of movements, possibly camps. It may be possible that a small gathering has been taking place, or even a small army. I have not observed any unusual persons (forgive the expression) in the area. I await instructions.
Tranimar tapped his chin with the scroll. While it could be nothing, he'd rather act than let it escalate in case it turned out to be something. Saluting Jaleel, Tranimar turned on his heel and headed into the castle. After several staircases and many greetings to the people in the castle, Tranimar found himself knocking on the door to the king's chambers.

(:erm: well, I'd kinda like to but at this point, I dunno... there's a lot of people who play key charries who haven't been around for a while. It might be better just to restart another Narnia RP. )
