I think if people have had prior experience with a character, that'll influence which way they vote whether or not they would vote the same way with the sample posts. But as a general principle, yes, vote on sample posts.

As for bios...I don't really know, I do somewhat agree with LDM and potr about a bio not really capturing the character as well as posts could. I have characters who honestly seem quite boring if all you see of them is a bio. I think that if it really is an issue and you can't find posts that summarize your character well enough, we could kinda deal with that when it happens - did anyone find that a problem last year?
