Oooh! Forget again, SG.
----
K'yahn bowed respectfully at the diminutive Master as he turned to go towards the training rooms with Master Regarn and the two other Padawans.
"You say that you cannot sense Master Mek in the Force anymore?" he asked, reaching out with his own senses. Wherever she was, she should be close by. The dips and eddies in the Force were as informative as ever, but there was a presence missing from among them that was normally there. Master Mek truly was gone.
He sighed--what if Master Mek had killed Master Gara'tur? What would happen? Would Naru be placed under suspicion, too? It was getting much more complex than he had hoped.

((Ok, I am sorry I didn't make this clear, but Regarn is supposed to go with Yoda to investigate... And also, who are you addressing, Aerandir?))

Naru, Master Regarn, or Valinn, whichever answers.

((Oh.. Ok. Sorry, I misread it the first time. Carrying on...))
Naru sighed sadly.
"No... I cannot." She put it simply, not wanting to go into the matter, especially while unanswered questions swirled in the depths of her mind. She could sense everthying, everyone, that she usually could, save Master Gara'tur and Master Mek. But then she realized something she did not realize before. There was another one who was missing. Ziatan. She hardly knew him, but now that she concentrated, she couldn't sense him either.
"K'yahn.. I can't sense Ziatan either. Can you?" She looked at him, and without waiting for an answer, said, "It's pecular, to say the least, don't you think?"

K'yahn definitely thought it was peculiar, but he remembered what Ziatan had been doing a few days earlier--masking his Force presence.
"I cannot sense him, but he has been hiding his Force presence recently, so I do not know if he is simply masking it again, or if he is not here."

((*is heralded by angellic music* I hath returned! ))
Ziatan's eyes narrowed at the accusation. "You underestimate me. Everyone underestimates me. I'm not foolish; I will not blindly stumble into the snares of the Sith. I will rise above the Sith, just as I will rise above the Jedi. You're all blind. A change is coming; whether it is for good or for ill is yet to be seen." He entered a set of orders into his datapad, then strode out of the room as the medical droid began to deliver the sleep-inducing medicine. "Good night, Master Mek."

Valinn looked up at the other two padawans. "Ziatan Kel?" he asked in surprise. "He's only two years older than I. We used to sometimes spar together, K'yahn, remember? We never exactly...got along. He is a skilled fighter and a powerful Jedi, but..." he hesitated, not wanting to present an opinion as fact. "I...do not know how much of this perception was just my perception and how much of it was valid, but something about him lately has seemed...off. More so than usual. I do not know what, but...it might be something."

She was addressing one of our characters. I'm choosing to let Naru reply.

((Oh, thank you so much, Aerandir. I'm honored. *Faked elaborate bow* ))
Naru nodded slowly. This jedi, Ziatan, was definatly a secretive fellow, to say the least.
"Well, I don't really know him, but I have bumped into him from time to time... He seems... Detached from the jedi temple... Or just very secretive. I don't know what to make of it. He came by our chambers yesterday to return a datapad, but he was masking his presence. I don't know why... I still don't." She sighed, debating with herself weather she should continue on with this useless commentary, or if she should tell them what exactly she heard in the data library...
((Ok.. Hope I didn't mess anything up for any plans/sub-plans y'all had. Just correct me if I did. Not that I did much... Oi. I'll stop talking now.))

K'yahn nodded. He remembered seeing Ziatan after the Jedi had left Naru and Mek's quarters. The man--well, boy, really--had knocked him over as he left, though that had been partly K'yahn's own fault.
"Shall we go, then?" he asked, unable to lead the way since he didn't know where Master Mek had vanished. There was a considerable amount of training rooms in the Temple, after all. The Jedi Master could have been in any one of them.
What bothered him was that he had not sensed what Valinn and Master Regarn had mentioned--the disturbance in the Force shortly before Master Mek vanished. He had been told time and again that his sensory skills were exceptional--unlike his combat abilities--but he had not felt a thing. It bothered him, a lot. Why had he not felt this disturbance in the Force? How had the other two Jedi been able to sense it without him being able to? To all appearances, at least, his Force-perception was greater than their's. Something had to have been manipulated in that disappearance, too--it must have been masked somehow.

Tynira tried to shift as the droid extended it arm toward her, but the energy cuffs restrained her. As the medicine entered her system and the room began to blur, she concentrated on the single thought she must retain.
Escape.
Escape.
Escape.
The room faded to white.
