Landen's face dropped at this reminder. He hated being reminded that his mind could be penetrated, especially by her. She wasn't exactly on his favorite top 5 people, but she wasn't the worst either.

"Well, first of all, I think we'd better go to .... Her companions to speak of all this." Landen said, then turned to Raina,

"What is you name? I don't believe I got it."

Your highness, supposedly there's a small group in search of the Gifted somewhere in Irvanhri. You're to bring them at once if you come across them. The telepathic message from Silvryn's commander-in-chief was short and to the point.

The Princess's violet eyes narrowed. "No need," she announced abruptly. "You're to come with me at once." And she turned on her heel and strode ahead of them.

(Well, think of it like this. You get to know someone, something inside your head clicks, and you 'know' they're the one. Sometimes with Exalted, it happens immediately, other times it takes a while for the connection to be made. And it helps to know that they're actually Exalted, meaning revealing their 'mark'. And it looks like we're moving it, but not to the campsite..)

"Excuse me?" Raina muttered in an undertone, staring after the retreating 'princess' with narrowed eyes. "Stars above, I don't even get a bloody choice in the matter!"

(That's definitely going to rub Raina the wrong way, then. She can't stand people that act loftly like that, bad experiences and whatnot. Not to mention she'd rather cut her own hand off than to go into Irvanhri.)

Muttering several choice words under her breath, Raina then growled in annoyance, and tried contacting her brother. Thankfully, he was receptive to this communication.

Oh, just being dragged to Irvanhri by some bloody princess..you know, the usual.

Touchy, thought Silvryn with a roll of her vibrant eyes. She quickly sent telepathic messages to two of her scouts - there should be two more, one elven and and one human. Meet me where our last outpost is before the city.
