"And circumvent the rain?" returned Kena flippantly. As if on cue lightning stabbed across the sky, lighting everything for a split second with an unearthly blaze of light. She put her own hand in his outstretched one. "Indeed, how can I refuse?"
Hesitation might have had some part in her original perception of this element of darkness, but Kena was no shrinking violet. Though perhaps of lesser powers than others, she remained a goddess still. Motioning toward what she now presumed to be a portal, Kena lifted her eyebrows. "Do lead the way."

"Belive me Goddess if i could bring back the dead to life and so right the Balance i would, but that is not my power." He did not say any more. He did not say that if he did not come for these people then thier souls would simply decend into Nothingness instead of going to his realm. He did not say it, he had never said it. He had never corrected thier usumption that the Realm of the Dead was a desolate waste full of sorrow.

Kena's expression initially was one of slight discomfort, but upon exiting it cleared and she shook her head, entirely nonchalant. "Entirely painless. It really is remarkable," she added, disentangling her fingers from his and stepping back to regard the dark portal admiringly. "This wouldn't be something you could teach, then?" she inquired as an afterthought, mildly wistful.
Perhaps it was not entirely wise to ask such a thing - since Asmundr had used dark magic to throw the world into chaos, it had not grown popular. Kena seemed to realize this and shook her head as if to dispel the idea. "Never mind that. We're late, the others will be wondering."

Kena lifted her head as if scenting the air, damp hair falling back over her shoulders in untidy tendrils. "Eydis and Luriar are near," she reported thoughtfully. "Aranthor's escaped the rain here...I don't know where the others are. No, not much point in going out."
With that she collapsed gracefully onto a low chair, a simple wooden article of furniture, reaching into her satchel for the broken sandal. It was no extremely detailed article of footwear, light leather knit securely together and imprinted with designs in what seemed a different language. Secure, that is, except for where the fastening strap dangled, frayed and eventually worn and broken. Kena inspected it, frowning. It would be simple to sew the two ends together, but that would be a very temporary solution. Ideally, she needed to replace the worn strap, but that was not as easy as it sounded. The cobbler who had made the pair for her was a master of his art, an enchanter along with the rest of his trade. The mortal world was not inhabited by such people.
Sighing, Kena reached inside her satchel for twine and a needle. If she couldn't replace the strap, she could make it last a little longer.

Star Gazer wrote: Luriar, slightly startled, jumped slightly as he lowered his flute.
"Ah! Eydis! I didn't hear you... Trying sneak up on me again, eh?" He asked, holding on to his precious instument tightly as he leapt to the ground lightly. But soon an odd expression came over his face.
I knew there was something wrong... The birds aren't singing.
Eydis grinned wryly. "It is quite simple to sneak up on you when you are sitting in one of my children," she said, giving the trunk of the willow a loving pat.
Her grin turned to a thoughtful frown. She was beginning to sense a dissonance coming from within the tree. It was as if one part with in it was conflicting with another. Good against Evil. She shuddered.
"I'm afraid Asmundr is at work in this forest," Eydis stated, anger tinting her voice. In his stroke of dark magic, Asmundr had tainted the hearts of the humans in Wavryni, throwing the world into chaos. But not having the complex minds and hearts of humans, animals and plants- her animals and plants- had not been affected.
Now that seemed to have changed. This, to Eydis, seemed far more personal than anything else that Asmundr had done since his betrayal. This forest as well as others and everything else that was Nature, were her children.
She removed her hand from the tree trunk and looked at Luriar. "It seems that Asmundr is plotting once again." For a time after the betrayal, Asmundr had been seemingly inactive. All of the dieties knew that was just a trick. It had only been a question of time before he began to work again. This was the beginning of a storm.
"Why don't we go back to the shelter," she suggested to Luriar, "The other dieties will be arriving there soon, if they have not already. They need to know of this development."

Luriar nodded.
"Of course. Though I am iching to write my new composures down... But this is far, far more important. Come." He then started quickly down the path. Towards the shelter.
((Arg. All I can think of for this at the moment. Sorry...))

Aranthor smiled as she heard Kena mention that she was here, She is a very clever Goddess... She thought to herself. She walked out of her room and into where Kena and Devion were. "How are you two doing, I see you escaped the rain, for the most part." She added when she glanced at their clothes.

Estelle nodded. "And as much as I wish I could return the souls of the dead, that skill is beyond my power. I can restore desolate lands to their beauty, but once a soul has crossed, they are beyond my aid." She studied a moment longer, as if pondering his words. She could sense there was truth behind his speech-after all he was affected by the imbalance as much as she. "I believe you." she said simply. She remained silent a moment more before speaking again. " I fear that Asmundr is at work once more. Only he could cause such chaos. I shall return to our abode in the woods. Perhaps one of the other gods and goddesses know more than we." With that she exited the room quietly and started walking along the forest path toward their earthly dwelling.

Having already dug two feet, Nolgos stopped and stared quietly at the goddess leaving his humble home. It made no sense, why would the gods roam the world like this? What had he missed? Well probably everything as he hadn`t been praying in a while due to his lost of faith in them, but perhaps he could get a bigger picture by following her. No doubt she would notice him, if she indeed was a god, but Nolgos needed proof.
He ditched the shovel aside and began quietly walking after the woman, keeping a safe distance and pondering quietly to himself whether he was following an illusion of his own mind, a cheap trickster or a goddess.

Estelle paused as she sensed the presence of a mortal, although he was some distance away. Her elegant white gown blew gently in the breeze, her sword secured firmly to her back. She waited for the mortal to approach, her rich brown eyes studying him. She remembered him as the healer in the village, the home she and Azra intruded upon. How does he know to follow- she broke off in mid-thought when she remembered that he alone was not touched by her spell. Sighing in frustration, she thought to disappear into the forest, make it impossible for the man to track her. Yet, something stayed her flight. There was something curious about the one following her. So she waited, standing still until the mortal approached.

Nolgos could have sworn that he had been quiet and that she hadn`t even look back once to check, if anyone was following her yet still she somehow knew. Deciding that there was no more reason to hide Nolgos approached her, he stopped at a safe distance and tried to remember what god might fit the woman appearance.
"I must thank you for healing my patients or well they are no longer my patients as they can certainly get by their own with their wounds healed. But an old sage like myself who is often turned to do the impossible is now confused by the power he has witnessed.
Taking a brave guess, you must be Estelle?"
Nolgos asked with slight uncertainty in his voice, but his eyes were slightly narrowed as he was still suspicious. He knew of the gods, their area of influence and their supposed tasks so it wasn`t too hard to take a quite certain stab in the dark.

Kena glanced up from where her nimble fingers were coaxing the strap back together - or some semblance of together-ness - and caught sight of the darkening storm clouds out the door. "They'll know to come back," she replied, rising to leave her makeshift handiwork and look out at the threatening blackness that now blotted out most of the sky. Only a blue sliver remained near the horizon.
Wind gusted past her into the room and Kena shut the door. Stooping to light a lamp, she hesitated and put the sandal she'd been repairing aside as well.
What had seemed to be a blank roll of vellum now was extricated from Kena's satchel and she spread it on the table. Miniature mountain ranges and forests sprang up from the parchment, and at a gesture from the frowning Messenger Goddess the view shifted. Atop the map's rendering of the forest Havrynieh, tiny storm clouds were gathering. They concentrated almost exclusively on the sprawling forest. "That's no storm Hythraii created," Kena said, and as if on cue a roll of thunder sounded.

Azra looked up at the sound of thunder. Hythraii, the stupid meddaling god, why? He quickly changed direction and headed over to the shelter. The other Gods would be in there so he headed for one of the outbildings instead, that was sure to be empty. "Oh...errr" he looked with surprise at Kena, Aranthor and Devarion.
