"Hythraii, I need you to protect me. I myself feel that i will not be able to. As you heard i am not to carry any weapon of any kind and my powers have been lessened."

Jayden looked at him for a moment or two and then looked off into the park. She hated feeling helpless, it was something she had never had to live with untill now.

Hythraii bowed low and nodded. "Aye, I can do that." He smiled slighty but then growled, "I still wish I could give that court a piece of my mind!"

Jayden smiled at Hythraii, he had a good spirit. She was glad that he had not been punished for doing nothing.

"Well you could go and give them a piece of your mind. However, that will do nothing to change the situation. Instead it may land you in the trouble the saught to give you in the first place."

Anger slept in the back of Jayden's mind, how could they have done that to her? She did not deserve it, after all look how many times the Vampires had gone against the rules.

Eccelsat marched around Arhsan, one of the military outposts outside the city, examining this and that. He was accompanied by Fasn and Cann, among many others, as he watched a fallen angel drill. He had previously inspected the nearby armoury and thought it was proceeding on schedule. They had tested a new alloy that some of the scientists had discovered and found that it was twice as strong as steel. Meanwhile the fallen angels were marching across the parade grounds, wielding spears and shields. Nearby a small gathering of vampires were practicing archery. Thought not with bows like the elves used. Instead, they used crossbows with an added feature that Eccelsat himself invented. It was a rapid loading mechanism that allowed the vampires to reload just as fast as an elven archer. And a little further, a mixture of fallen angels and vampires were fencing. Then a new sight came to view. Eccelsat looked into his spyglass and uttered, "No way."

The other officers were doing the same thing and had disgusted features on their faces. It was an elven batallion. About fifty strong. All of them mounted and armed to the teeth. Their leader was carrying a bag with him.
"What are they thinking?" Fasn asked aloud.
"I don't know," replied Eccelsat as he drew out his sword. "But I don't like the looks of this. I recognize that symbol on them. I've tried five elves from that clan. None of them were sentenced though."
"Then how dare she," Cann spat while unsheathing his sword. "Complain that we were unfair."
"Let's see what they want," said Eccelsat. "Janfa!"
The vampire captain of the archers looked up and asked, "Yes, my lord?"
"Have your archers stationed and ready," ordered Eccelsat. "If they attack, you are allowed to fire."
"Yes, sir," Janfa said and then suggested, "If I may, my lord, I suggest you look up in the air."
He pointed to the air. Eccelsat followed his gaze and saw twenty angels there. None of them armed but it still made him wonder what they were doing with a battalion of elves. While most of the officers were concentrated on the angels, Fasn said, "My lord!"
Eccelsat turned to see the head elf throw the bag at the direction of the camp and wheeled around, leading his elves with him. The angels followed suit. A fallen angel flew to retrieve the bag and flew back with it and a disgusted face. Eccelsat opened the bag. Garshi's head was in it. Along with a note that read, "Free Jayden or we'll kill more."
Cann snarled and said, "That's the last straw. We declare war now."
Many of the vampires and fallen angels agreed with him. Though Eccelsat didn't think too highly of Garshi or his House, he felt betrayed. He sighed and commanded, "Assemble the army. I'll go to Jayden about this." He flew off with the bag.

"All i need to you to do for me is to stay with me. Watch out for anything or anyone that may want to harm me. Also keep my company, for i maybe become lonely" Jayden answered.

Eccelsat found her at the same park where she murdered Dalanis. With the elf. Eccelsat wonderd what they were conspiring now. He landed near them and said harshly, "Jayden, we need to have a word."

Jayden turned sharply at Eccelsat's voice. What did he want now. She turned and told Hythraii him to stay where he was. Then she calmly walked over to Eccelsat.

"If you wish to have a word then speak" she said.

"This," Eccelsat said. He thrusted the bag towards her. "One of your elves brought this to our camp. It's Garshi's head."

Hythraii nodded at both Jayden's commands and request to stay put. He did, however, put his hand firmly on his sword hilt, ready at a moments notice.

Eccelsat smiled maliciously and said to the elf, "You really don't want to do that. Not especially what your people have done."

"To be honest, I have no clue what my people have done, for I have been locked up." Hythraii smirked. "I would love to find out, though." He kept his hand firmly placed. "Beside, I have a duty now."

"Two hours, Hythraii," Eccelsat hissed. "Two hours with your little mistress. I'm sure it wasn't that bad. And don't play innocent. It sickens me. I know for a fact that three elves from your particular group was involved in an assassination attempt on me. Right now, fifty elves have assassinated Garshi. Right after the trial. Your people have broken the truce so often, it is little wonder why the vampires are eager to exact retribution. I don't approve of their actions but nevertheless, the truce was made for a reason and your people apparently do not like that reason."
