Emily sighed deeply to Ben and rolled her eyes a bit. "I'm sorry that I'm not as detailed about buildings as you are, Ben... but that's not the reason I called. Did you or did you not call Lannie Potter into the office?" She asked him softly and looked over to Lannie.

(welcome, R_T!  hmmm, ok, I think it might be fun if we had some sort of girl "fight" over Riley.  the two girls both liking him and him kinda... well, bewildered. lol although we'd just have to see who, if either, gets him in the end  it'll be fun to see it play out though...)
Riley slightly shifted his weight and looked back and forth, from Kira, to Lannie back to Emily, as he listened to Emily's half of the conversation. "What is he saying?" he finally asked as he tried to overhear some of what Ben said. It didn't sound like a conversation about Lannie. It sounded like they were talking about... buildings? He screwed up his face into a thoughtful, confused and somewhat strange position as he tried to overhear Ben and make some sense out of it. He wondered why he wasn't the one talking to Ben anyway. He always had been before. And wasn't Emily lower than him when it came to this business?

Lannie took a deep breath and waited to be spoken to. She had refused to allowe her mind to draw any conclusions from what had been said on Emily's end of the conversation.

Emily sighed to Riley and nodded to what Ben had said. "Yes, she's here with Kira, Riley and me right now." She said softly and looked back to Riley, watching him. She covered the speaking part of the phone and whispered, "He's just being the same old Ben."

"Well, I only just got in my car. So, I guess I could go back down the block to the office and have that interview. I wasn't expecting it so soon, and with this new puzzle to solve... though we could use another hand. Why not have her come along so she can see what exactly we do and if she really wants the internship or not," Ben replied...

Riley nodded and gave Emily a small smile as she actually replied to him. He didn't move away, however, and he continued to listen in. He was looking down at his sneakers when he realized the conversation was coming to an end. His head shot right up, "here," he reached out for the cell phone, "What does Ben say? I want to talk with him."

Lannie's feet were killing her now. She had managed to ease her anxiety considerably by running through every British king from the end of the Middle Ages as she waited.

Emily sighed a bit and then nibbled on her lower lip. "Hey, Ben? Riley wants to talk to you." She said softly and then handed Riley the cell phone, watching him closely. She then looked over to Lannie and sighed a bit. "Sorry, this is taking so long." She said and smiled.

(Well, as far as I can tell, Freya, this is what's happened. Riley and Emily left the building where they all had been and they "brushed" into Lannie outside. Lannie is there for an internship. Riley and Emily want to make sure Ben is expecting Lannie so they're calling him. And Kira arrived on the scene a few moments before they called Ben.  Does that clear things up?)
Riley gave Emily a quick smile as he took the phone from her. He walked a few paces away and stood, admiring ground at his feet. "Hey, Ben."
