Jack took a step into the room. The floor board underneath him creeked loudly in the weird silence that filtered the room. His eyes shot glances at the funny looking faces of his crew. He smirked nervously feeling quite strange....

Barbossa picked up a mug sitting by his hand and dipped it into a keg of beer by the table. He then handed it to Jack. "Here y'go, Cap'n.... We was jus' waitin' fer you, that's all...." He grinned disarmingly and wrapped an arm about Jack's shoulders. C'mon cullies, a cheer or two fer th' Cap'n!!...."

This was all too strange, one moment everyone was as silent as mice, the next they were cheering loudly for him. At least they were cheering for him thought Jack and he went along with it with a big toothy grin. He held up the mug to his lips and took a swig.

"What course are we chartin'?" Jack shifted his eyes over to Barbossa. His lips curled up in a digusted fashion and he replied, "Why don't ye just wait and see eh?" He nudged Barbossa with a friendly smirk before taking another swig.

Barbossa raised his eyebrows. "Arr, well now, if that';s th' way y'want it...." He shrugged and sat down among the crew, nodding sagely. "The cap'n don't trust us, mates.... But hey ho, it's a hard life for us lowly sailors, ain't it?...." He smiled at the crew, then looked back at Jack, innocent as a newborn babe.....

Once more, Jack took a swallow of the drink. He wiped his mouth on his sleeve then shook his head, "Ye are one curious being there Hector..." He started to laugh continuously to himself.

Barbossa watched them all, his eyes roving over everyone, from Jack, to Bootstrap, to Ragetti and Pintel, and over the other crewmembers....
