Gabriella started watching Jack again. She wasn't feeling sorry for him anymore. She actually thought that he was quite pitiful. She shook her head and looked back to the ground.

Jack fetched himself to the kitchen and stood staring at it for a while, while his vision was clearing up. He shook out his head then started to go through the cupboards, shelves, and cabinets hoping to find some rum...and if not rum, food.

Gabriella slowly followed him into the kitchen. "Ya won't find any rum here. I'm not like you." She snapped at him. She watched him, with mean eyes. She was ticked at this man, that she once loved.

Jack acted as if he didn't hear her. His eyes bounced back and forth as he eyed the food in a cabinet he found. He reached his dirty hand inside and pulled out a fresh loaf of bread. He ripped it in half and took a nice big bite.
