Cara frowned at the inside of the house. It seemed almost too precise, or... she couldn't put her finger on it. The house was dirty, but not in as much decay as the outside.

Adam slowly went into the house. "I think there still lives someone", he said. "We've to be careful. For me it seems as this is a trap."

Nicky thought for a while what to do. She didn't want to expose herself, but she knew the Dark Coats would be here, if not within an hour, it would be tonight. If these kids would stay at the house, they would surely be found. So would their hiding place.
Quietly she approached the house, stepped inside, while closing the door so all there was no daylight. Her eyes got quickly used to the dark and she saw the three faces of the childeren.
"Well, well.. you should know this is not the best place to hide.."

Mrs. Sadler really protested when she was detained. "That's nonsense, she said. "I've nothing to hide, I'm NOT in league with any Thirds." She knew, she could go to prison for a very long time when she kept fighting against the Coats, but she only had the thought of saving Adam and keeping the Coats off searching the forrest again.

Adam quickly turned round when he heard the door closing. "I knew it was a trap", he thought when he suddenly recognized that there where no Coats, but another girl. He slowly started to speak "W-Who are you? What do you mean "not the best place to hide"?"

Cara spun around from the cupboard she was looking in, seeing a girl standing behind them. She tried to calm her heart, which had started beating wildly. She took a deep breath. "I had a feeling it couldn't be a good as it seemed." she said.

"The Coats will search the forest. This will be the first place for them to look.. " Nicky said short "Come with me, or wait for them here.."
Then she turned and slowly walked out.

Adam trembled. He've learned not to trust anyone. "How can you prove that the Coats aren't waiting outside in the bushes and it is YOU who would lead us into a trap?" he asked, trying to calm down, but obviously, he was very scared.

"He's right." Cara said. "We aren't following you blindly." She noticed Adam was shaking. She suddenly realized her own hands were trembling, and tried to still them.

Adam sat down on a chair. He was sure this was a trap, it seemed too much luck that right in that moment when they were chased by the Coats a misterious girl appeared out of nowhere and explained she would help them. He finally could breathe again. "We won't follow you probably into our misery and our death", he said. "There's no reason to trust you."

Nicky turned around, her brown eyes flickered and said: "No.. I can't make you trust me..you will only realise it when it's too late."
While she spoke she unaware clutched for her arm. Her finger ran over long white scars then she turned around, as if she'd heard something from out ofthe woods. Without another word she left.

Adam looked behind the girl. He knew, he couldn't trust anyone in his situation, but he had the strange feeling that this girl was in quite the same situation as himself.

Cara watched the other girl as she left. She turned to look at the other two. "Maybe we should go outside, just for awhile, to be safe..." she trailed off.

"Well, if they are looking for us, we are safe nowhere!"
