What the entire group of survivor's didn't know....was why the monstrous beasts were advancing. The smell of fresh blood was coming from Mark's large wound. Any scent of flesh dead or alive always attracted any beast of that size.

A large lightning bolt struck near the entrance of the cave, lighting it up like a lightbulb.

Chris stumbled after Nessa and Alex but the last energy left his body, his shirt was soaking wet of rain and blood and he had a hard time not to catch the attention of the gigantic monsters. Only on a few metres distance of the cave, he fell with a groan on his knees, his head bowed to fight the swirling images which were a signal he would loose his conscious soon.

Nessa couldn't see - there was water in her eyes and as she rubbed furiously several things came into focus. The dinosaurs, which somehow seemed to know where they were; Chris, still outside; and Mark, lying prone with the wound on his neck still bleeding profusely. Ignoring the pain in her ankle as best she could, Nessa crawled over to him and pressed the sodden jacket closer to his neck while yelling, "Alex! Chris is still out there!"

Lee watched them and then heard another roar from the distance. She held her breath...she had an feeling what it was.

The deafening thunder seemed to disappear to the background and instead Chris heard shrieks. Familiar voices, though he couldn't recognise them. Again flashes of memories shot through his mindand he didn't seemed to be aware of anything what happened around him. Now and then his vision became clear, but he had no energy left to stand up.

An aching pain shot through Mark's neck and shoulders when Nessa pressed down on his wound. He closed his eyes and grabbed a hold of her knee. Gripping on tightly, he tried to bare the pian.

A groan escaped the mud caked lips from Jimmy's mouth...but that was all for now. He drifted back into the unconscious state of mind.

Responsibility was not something Alex was accustomed to. Nonetheless, seeing Chris falling behind, Alex succumbed to impulse and ran out to help him. Just as he crouched by Chris's side, he heard a deafening roar. He looked up to see both allosauruses bounding towards them.

Nessa didn't have a clue what to do for Mark, especially not with prehistoric animals roaming dangerously close. She quickly ripped the jacket into strips and bandaged him as best she could, then cast an anxious eye outside and fervently willed Alex to move before he and Chris were eaten - or whatever it was allosauruses did.

Lee leaped up and grabbed Chris, helping Alex. "Hurry!" She pulled Chris towards the back of the cave and yelled, "Everybody get back, hurry!"

As Alex had grabbed his arm, Chris looked up to him with a bewildered gaze. Instead of Alex, he saw another figure, a boy, younger with blond hair, looking very alike him, like brothers.
"Dan..? " he mumbled vague, but at the same moment he saw the face of Alex as he was.
"Alex..just run.."he mumbled again. Half consciously he felt he was grabbed by someone else, dragged to another, dry and safer place.

Alex, Lee, and Chris dove into the cave just as the two allosauruses stopped at the cave entrance. Collapsed on the cave floor, Alex looked towards the cave mouth to see the two massive carnivores standing just outside.

Lee breathed heavily, turning to look up at the beast, drool hanging from there open, fang filled mouths. She sighed heavily and let her head fall agaisnt the muddy ground as she continued to sigh. Then, she turned her head and asked, "Chris? Alex? You two alirght?"

Mark could feel a rumbling on the ground. He tilted his head sideways, dipping his right ear in the mud, and looked toward the entrace to the cave. His eyes grew large as he saw the bodies of two dinosaurs standing near the entrace. He gasped loudly, but then began to cough, choking on blood that had dripped into his throat.

Nessa grabbed Mark and dragged him to the back of the cave, crawling mostly. She was gasping raggedly, her face white with pain and her eyes huge and panicked. "Is...is Chris...all right?" she managed to gasp out. "And you, Alex?"

Chris sat with his back against the cave wall. He still seemd to be in the illusion of seeing his brother, but now and then he came back to reality.
His breathing was irregular and his body was trembling yet he understood Nessa's question.
"I- am alright.. " he gasped "How's- Danny?"
