(Oh, thanks for reminding me of Rae..)

The troll that Groden had just knocked unconscious suddenly burst into flame, via a flaming arrow shot at it that had then set the beast aflame on contact. Raevyn watched the sight with something near disgust for a moment, before murmuring something and grabbing another arrow from her quiver, and the tip flickered and was covered in flames in a manner of seconds. One troll down, three to go..

Decian saw the trolls approach and mentally sent orders towards his Death Bringers. The archers began to fire at one of the trolls while the rest formed a protective circle around the archers as they fired.

I was cured all right.

Mirrim shoved a small walnut shell at Vennir, and said hastily, "Eat that, and don't you dare go back out there or you're going to hurt yourself." It was full of a slightly sticky pale yellow substance, one of her obscure herbs.

Meleth herself was beginning to tire, and hurled another little bomb of light at a troll where it missed altogether and exploded harmlessly in the bushes. She dodged out of a troll's way but failed to notice the one behind it just swinging his axe. Suddenly confronted by a roaring troll, she gave a yell and attempted to conjure light - but it flickered and died. For one frozen moment she stared up at the monster. "Oh..." she gasped, and a second later he swung the huge weapon, the edge of the blade slashing across her arm and side as she turned and rendering the elf into a crumpled heap on the bloody ground. The troll stampeded on, roaring.

"Meleth"! Thane shouted. He raced to her side, dodging goblin weapons. "Kith!" He shouted "Help, Meleth is hurt!" Kith trumpeted again from the other side of the battle field. He charged toward Thane, not caring the enemies he trapmled underground. Thane could just barely hold off the goblins. One lept at him, but Kith reached out with his trunk and snatched him in mid air, then threw him to the ground. "Put her on my back!" Kith said hurredly. "I will get her to saftey!" Kith carefully picked the Meleth up by the waist and lowered her soflt onto his back. He ran as quickly as his bulky frame would allow him, until he found Mirrim, who he knew was a good healer. He shifted quickly to human. "She's hurt." he explained. "You need to help her."

Mirrim went white and caught Meleth as she fell limply, eyes closed and breathing very shallow. She lowered her to the ground. "How many trolls are there?" she asked desperately, whipping bandages out of her little bag. "They can't have too many, they can't!"

Mirrim probed the ugly slash quickly with her fingers and gave a little cry, quickly stifled, cradling Meleth's head in her arms. "It's bad...oh, Kith..." Mirrim closed her eyes for a moment. "I'll take care of it. She'll be fine, she must."

Seeing how many of their numbers were getting hurt, Raevyn growled in frustration, then whipped another arrow from her quiver. Nocking it, she pulled the string back all the way and fired it at the nearest troll, and the beast burst into flames, like the previous one she had dealt with had. Two more, just two more! she thought desperately, nocking two arrows this time, and firing them at the same time. The arrows flew true into the last two trolls, and as the creatures burst into flame, Raevyn dropped her bow as she felt a very sharp pain in her side, and something was driven through her, something that felt eerily like cold steel, and it was just as promptly ripped out. Glancing down, she saw a bleeding wound, one clearly caused by a sword..and promptly blacked out then and there.

(Only a handful of goblins left, guys, and all the trolls are gone. So, this battle is nearly over.)

"There's one more," sighed Merrin in relief - a sigh that turned to a horrified gasp as Raevyn fell. "Kith, over there! Raevyn!"

Meleth moaned softly, face creased in pain, and Mirrim began to hurriedly wrap bandages around the gash in her arm and side, looking up now and then.

Kith growled. "it won't be fine for the enemy." He was done being nice. He grew taller and bulkier. White hair sprung from his body. His face narrowed into a muzzle full of sharp teeth. He was a polar bear. Though already warm in his dense fur, his strength more than made up for it. He had just began to settle. He had grown comfortable, and even made a friend. If these goblins wanted to take his family away from him, they would have to do a lot better than this. He thought as he dove into battle.

Decian sheathed his sword and sighed. The goblins were routed and the trolls were dead. Two of his Death Bringers were injured critically but the rest either was unharmed or suffered minor injuries. He looked for the shapeshifter that he was talking to earlier.

I was cured all right.

(Guys, the trolls are all dead now. There's only goblins left. And if there need to be more injuries(yes, there is a reason for them), have them happen quickly. The battle's almost over.)

Mirrim stood up to peer wildly around. "Kith, get Raevyn!" she yelled, panicked even though the enemy was defeated, and knelt down to find Meleth's bandages already soaked with blood. Pressing her lips together, she unwound them and sent Flynn, the messenger boy, running to find more.

Elendi, being convinced by Vennir to stay behind, could not hold back any longer. She shifted into a white wolf and quickly took off. She came up a few moments later and shifted back, unshealthing her two curved swords when she heard sounds of battle. She peeked over the edge and saw many of the shapeshifters where fighting goblins, with trolls dead bodies on the ground surrounding the battlefield. She looked down and saw a group of goblins and only one or two shapeshifters fighting them. They needed help.

Without hesatation, she slide down the side and landed on top of a small group of goblins, smashing them into rocks. She stood and smiled at the bewildered shapeshifters and picked up her swords that she dropped and got ready to fight.

Kith roared his fustration. He could see Raeven on the ground, but goblins had penned him in. One got to close and he lashed out, killing it intantly. Preparing his mind, he shifted as quickly as possible to a rhino. His skin was now thick armored plates. The goblins would have a hard time injuring him now. He burst through thier ranks and ran to Raeven's side, quickly changing back to human. Kith gently draped her over hs nec, then shifted to elephant. He felt an arrow pierce his skin, but it did not get past his thick hide and was no more than a irratant. He stormed over back to Mirrim, gently taking Raeven off his back with his trunk.

"Careful, careful!" squeaked Mirrim anxiously. "Is there anyone else out there?"
