While Milos addressed Bill Riley, Jenya took care of the rest of the hostages. Training in a terrorist camp helped her prepare for times like these. She strode to the cabinet and opened it. Taking out her bag, she extracted a fairly large burlap bag from it and opened it. She then walked towards the terrified business people and politicians, ordering, "Put all of your electronics and keys in this bag. Anyone who refuses will get a bullet in the brain."
One by one, they deposited their electronics and keys in the bag, valuing their miserable lives over anything. Except for one person, who repeatedly claimed that he left his phone at home. Impatient, Jenya pulled him up and roughly searched him. She found his phone, still in his pocket. Her face lit up with amusement as she pushed the man down on his knees. She also took his wallet and upon seeing the name, recgonised it immediately. "Mr. Carl Gaccain. Owner of the Gaciano company, responsible for much of the whaling in the North Sea," she dictated. She turned to Milos, silently asking what to do with him.

"Pokud budeme muset prolit krev... (If we need to spill blood...)," Milos said under his breath to her, then made a motion like a gun to his head. In a particular cruel gesture, he grinned wickedly at Mr. Gaccain and winked at him knowingly.

Sadism radiated from Jenya's smile as she roughly took the man's hands and bound them with the PlastiCuffs. After sealing the bag with the hostages' electronics with cable ties, she, with the help of Luke, proceeded to bind the rest of the hostages' hands, as well as blindfold them. She had a feeling one of these idiots might try something moronic like Gaccain did. Currently, the man was kneeling in a corner away from the business table where his colleagues where currently bound and blindfolded.

Bill observed the woman search Carl Gaccian. Idiot he thought as he grimaced when Jenya found the phone. He wasn't just ruining it just for himself, but also the rest... He carefully watched the interaction between the two leader as if he was analysing their conducts. He did not care about that he was cuffed and after a long silence he responded to Milos' remark.
"What do you rightly deserve Milos?" Riley asked as if he was talking to a little boy.
----
Ayla sat down on the desk, her back directed to the phone in order to dial the nummer. She crooked her neck to check whether the number was right and she was glad it was just a three digit number. Then she turned the speaker on so she could talk without having to lay her head next to the speaker.
911, how can I help you? The shrill voice almost seemed to shout through the office. Quickly Ayla tried to turn the volume down hoping all the terrorists where busy with their hostage-plan.
"Hello?" Ayla whispered. "There's a hostage going on 51 Chambers Street.."
[ Seriously, I have no idea how you Americans talk about adresses.. first the number then the streetname right? ]

(( You got the right idea. ))
Milos turned back to the businessman with a grimace of disgust at his tone. "Oh, well actually, I was thinking maybe I nice cake would be in order," he spat sarcastically, then lashed out and hit the flat of his pistol. "What do you think I want, asshole?! Payment! Reconciliation for the years of high-and-mighty *beep* you've put myself and the rest of society through in the form of cold, hard cash. But overall - " He leaned dangerously close to Riley's face and snarled, "I want respect. And I will rip it from you if I have to."
~~~
"I was wondering when you'd get this party started."
A large shadow dripped over Ayla from behind her. Mordakai had left his post and now stood alarmingly close to her. A wicked grin spread across his face as he nodded to her a few flicks of his pistol in the direction of the phone's receiver. "That'll do."
"And this," Jenya added, as she roughly tied the black rough cloth around the last senator's eyes. She produced a list of names from her pocket and, slowly walking to Riley, showed it to him. "These are the names of twenty suspected terrorists currently imprisoned by the CIA. We want them released. And you are going to help us."
Riley cast a glance at the data: the suspected criminals were shattered over several prisons in the United States. If he already was going to cooperate with this, Bill thought, then it would be the hardest lobbying task he'd ever performed. Didn't these idiots realise that Washington was never going to agree with this?
"I don't think you completely understand" he started smoothly "My work has been for the welfare of the society. But you want to make me pay for the damage I've done to them? But now you want me to help you, set some potential terrorists free? That would never be good for the welfare of the society. How will I ever be able to explan that to my supporters? I think you need get your targets straight.."
-----
Ayla gave a little scream as she turned around, facing Mord who only stood a few feet away. She felt numb and did not dare touching the phone.
Miss? Miss are you still there? the voice said through the speaker.
Ayla remained silent and realised that Mord was between her and the door; she'd run out of ways to escape.
"Right," Jenya said in her typical cynical tone. "Because that's exactly what this world needs. Another ****ing nuclear power plant. How do you plan to deal with the nuclear waste? You do know it's not going to go anywhere anytime soon. Build a nuclear power plant, you're going to need a source of water to cool down the reactors. Some of the life in the lakes and rivers around New York don't do well under extreme heat. And what happens if your little plant goes Chernobyl? And don't even talk to me about your contribution to the welfare of the society. We've found ties between you and your company and five different logging companies, two pharmaceutical companies that applied cruel and unnecessary experimentation to primates, and four oil companies. From the latter, you profit directly from this oil business. You also lobbied to pass against several environmental bills and bribed ten members of Congress to stop these bills. Some of whom are sitting with us right now. We know you can get what we want. The only matter is how many people do we have to kill before you finally get into your thick skull that we are very serious." She stopped for a second and then, turning to Milos, said, "You know, I don't think he thinks we're serious. Should we demonstrate?" Her eyes flashed menacingly to the cowering Gaccian.
Milos clenched his cigarette between his teeth as she went on, saying nothing until she was apparently finished. Long-winded tree hugger...bah...
"Not to mention the people living in the area. I'm sure they'll be absolutely thrilled by your new 'contribution to society'." He scowled slightly. "Which is bull****, and you know it. This is all for your own gain, for you and your fellow businessmen. The little people sit and watch while the cooperates play God, right?" He spat angrily. "Well we're done playin' along."
Milos gave a merciless glance over at Gaccian, then back at Jenya. "It seems Mr. Riley here has already decided his fate," he growled under his breath, thoroughly put off by the patronizing. He pointed his pistol at the quivering man in the corner, though didn't fire. Yet. "Still think I'm fooling around, Riley?"
....
Mord stared evenly at her. "Are you quite finished?" he growled softly. "Hang up the damn phone."
"What are you people? Green terrorists?" Riley responded slightly amazed by Jenya's speech. "Well then listen to this: The emissions of green house gases and therefore the contribution of nuclear power plants to global warming is relatively little since they emit hardly any CO2. That means no contribution to the so-called greenhouse effect, in which you obviously put your faith in. The technologies for dealing with the nuclear wastes are advanced so it can be dealt with safely."
Bill had got on his feet and paced through the meetingroom. He was unable to understand that these environmentalist -they were all idiots the lots of them- only accepted the views from one side to justify their own arguments.
"Chernobyl" he added "was poorly designed and improperly operated. Here we have the greatest experts in the field of technology..."
He stopped, realising that arguing wasn't going to improve this "little" situations. He watched Milos, who was obviously enjoying all of this, threaten Gaccian but Riley interrupted him. "If I already would cooperate, than that would be on the condition that none of my colleagues in this room are to be harmed."
--------
Miss.. the police is on its way.. are you still there?
Ayla who was still facing Mord, stretched backwards to stop the conversation. As much she had been relieved by that one moment of contact with the outside world, she was terriefied now by the loneliness and the presence of that creep.
She bit her lip as she first looked at Mord and then his gun. There was no way she could talk herself out of this, no way she could defend herself. And for the tenth time that night she wished that she had called in sick.
[ Riley had to defend himself somewhat about the nuclear plants. But lets avoid a debate about these things.. I don't have enough time to inform myself completely on the subject  ]
"That depends on the level of cooperation, Riley," Jenya added spitefully, ignoring his feeble defense. "And since when did you start caring about people? We had you as a ruthless egomaniac who always put himself first, never others. We first wait for the coppers to come. Then we will need a messenger boy. Someone to deliver our terms to them." Gaccain was not oblivious to the fact that two pairs of dark eyes were focused on him, clearly confirming his suspicions.
The sirens of police cars could clearly be heard even on the top floor of the building. She smiled as she said to Milos, "They're here."
OOC: I'm a little lost, so before actually jumping in, I'm going to read up on what happened. But I'll do a short post so you know I'm here.
IC: Charlie Crews sat in the study of his mansion, bought with the money he had won from the settlement after being release from his wrongful imprisonment. He was listening to one of his many zen tapes, for which everyone thought he was a crazy guy whom they humoured because they had no choice. But he wasn't crazy, he just knew that everything had a reason, everything and everyone was connected to everything else. No one was truly alone, but no one was truly with anyone.
His cell rang and he looked calmly down at it. 'Agent Reese' was prominently displayed on the front. Charlie still hadn't gotten used to all the new technology, he still had a record player for most of his Zen tapes, though a few had moved onto a computer. He flipped the phone open. "Did you know we depend on each other without being dependent on one another?"
"What?" a female voice said. Charlie repeated himself. "Whatever," she said. "Look, there is a hostage situation at 51st Chambers Street, so get over there right now." There was a click as she hung up the phone to forestall any weird comment from Charlie.
Charlie stood, put on his suit jacket, and grabbed the keys to his car. It was a nice car, Italian; but it was only a physical object, it had no meaning. Or that's what he told himself as he enjoyed speeding down the streets with the built-in police lights and siren blaring.
"About time," Milos muttered, lowering his gun. His lips curled around his cigarette as he pulled in on it, then let out a long stream of smoke. He smirked over at Bill Riley, watching him pace. "Sit yer ass back down, Riley, we're only j'st gettin' started."
.....
Mord grinned wickedly at the woman, grabbing her roughly by the arm. "Milos was a fool to let you go," he informed her. "I'm thinking we'll be having use of you yet."
"Do you want me to greet them?" Jenya asked. "Or are you going to let Luke and Mord do the dirty work?"
[ Hey Doctor, great that you jumped in  Would you like me to send you a summary of things that happened? ]
Ayla tried to pull herself free from Mord's grasp and started to kick him, as she realised that without her heels toes-stepping wasn't that effective. She also heard the sirenes and was more than anxious to get out.
----
"Don't act like you ******* know anything about me woman" Bill groaned. "My level of amiability is infinitely greater than yours.. you purposely murder people when it suits you."
He listened to the sirenes of the policecars and wondered how the hell they had came here.
Mord's lip curled up in an annoyed snarl as she lashed out at him, despite the fact that it was about as effective as a rain shower on a mountainside. "I could carry you if you won't come quietly," he threatened.
....
Milos leaned close to the man, giving a half smile. "I think you and I have very different ideas of murder, Mr. Riley," he said quietly.
He turned to his accomplice quietly, adding, "I don't know if I'd trust those imbeciles to handle it..." He glanced around, seeing Luke standing by the door, but... "Where's Mordakai?"
