"Sure it's okay. I understand. Things have been so heavy and tense here lately. I'll maybe catch up with you later."

She turned back to look at the sky, trying hard to hold in the tears.

Janet stood on a balcony with her long black coat fluttering in the wind. She stood perfectly still. Not moving but concentrating on the small tree she was levitating. A few of the students on the ground watched her with awe and maybe even fear. After Jean's death, Raven, as they called her, had changed. She had become obsessed and always insisted her sister wasn't dead. Jean had always told her not to show how much power she had, but now it didn't matter. This tree was nothing to the other abilities she had revealed lately.

"Oh yeah. You don't a mutant power over time, I've been strong all my life. I remeber one time I got in a fight with a bully at school and punched in the face, breaking his nose and knocking out teeth. Everyone stoped talking to me that day, I was different. So I would supress my power and get nervous any time someone came close to me. I got severly bullied when I was forced to change schools."
