Sylan set Tamie's things on the bed and walked back down the stairs. He froze seeing the girl standing in the hall. Lanie was right, she looked exactly like Corison. He swallowed as she turned to look at him, then attempted a shaky smile. "You must be Tamie."

Tamie heard a noise and looked up to see a dark haired blue eyed man with a fighters build. She smiled shly at his words and nodded. "Yes ... I hope I'm not intruding. I don't want to cause a hinderance."

"Nonsence ... Umm, you're room is right up here, if you'll just come with me." He lead the way to Tamie's new room.

David heard footsteps coming up the stairs. " i guess Sylan is showing Tamie her room. " he said.
Lanie was looking at the bed then looked up. " did you know Corison was adopted?" she asked looking very serious.
David sighed. " i just found out.." he said " about 45 minuets ago.." he said taking a big breath then letting it out slowly.

Tamie stepped into the room after Sylan and stopped. She closed her eyes taking a deep breath in. The room brought to mind memories for many years ago. "That smell ... what is it?" She asked.

Sylan turned to look at her. "That is Corison's perfume. She's worn it for as long as I can remember."

David took Lanie's hand. " i'll probably be here for a while. so when your ready come out and say hi." he said softly before letting go and walking out.

Lanie sat there not saying a word, barely even thinking anything. she just sat, as if waiting for something to happen. but nothing did.

David walked out of Lanie's room shuting the door behind him. he walked a few feet and stood by Sylan. " everything okay?" he asked.

"I can't ... I can't remember..." Tamie said putting the pillow down and opening her eyes. She nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw Davis standing in fron of her. "Oh ... goodness. I wasn't expecting you to be standing there."

Sylan turned away and coughted trying to hide his sudden burst of laughter at her scare.

Tamie lay her head against David's chest. "It's ok ... I think so, provided I don't upset everyone every time I turn around." Tamie wanted to cry again, but she held back the tears not wanting David to worry about her. She looked up at him and tried to smile. "Will you stay for a while?" She asked softly her cheek still pressed against his chest.

Sylan got himself back under control and turned back to face the two sitting on the bed. He was suprised at how natural it was to see David and Tamie sitting the way they were. He smiled. "I'm going to start dinner, anything special you want?" He asked.

David nodded. " i'll stay as long as you need me to." he kissed her forehead. David smiled and looked over at Sylan. " i'm feelin pizza. you make a mean pineapple and ham pizza." he smiled as his stomach gave off a rumbling sound.

Sylan nodded and smiled. "Pineapple and ham Pizza it is. By the way Tamie...Welcome home." He left the room and headed down to the kitchen where he started the preperations for dinner.

Tamie smiled looking up at David, then burried her face against his shirt as Sylan left the room. She took a deep breath and tried to choke back a sudden sob. "Home ... " She couldn't stop the tears anymore.

David held her, he didnt quite understand why she cried. but he decided to just let her cry it out. she had been through a lot. " here, lets go into the living room." he said walking her over there and then sitting on the couch. he again welcomed her into his arms.

By the time the tears stopped Tamie was exausted. She nodded to David's suggestion about going down to the living room letting him lead her. Once he was sitting down she curled up next to him unknowingly much like her sister had done. She closed her eyes listning to the sound of his heart beating.

Lanie watched as David and Tamie sat on the couch. gosh she looked so much like her sister. she thought. she stood up and went into the kitchen. " need any help?" she asked her brother as she leaned on the counter.

Sylan looked up as Lanie walked in. "Sure ... feel like spreading pizza sauce and cheese?" He asked grinning.

Tamie opened her eyes and looked up at David. She smiled then on a sudden impuls leaned up and kissed him.

Lanie smiled and nodded. " sure." she got the cheese and the sauce out and started covering and spreding. " are you eatting with us?" she asked her brother.

David was caught off gaurd by the kiss but after a moment he leaned into it. he watched Lanie go into the kitchen and he pulled back. he kissed Tamie's head and turned on the TV. " hmm i wonder who's playing today." he said.
