Timothy, came out of his bedroom, now in his pajama robe, brushed past the old women, Kim, with a frustrated crooked expression. "Darn that wife and kids...they don't appreciate me! I go to work to put food on our table, and when I get home and try to get some sleep, all they do is yap..." he vented.
He pushed opened the front door to scold the children and Katherine, but then suddenly freezed as his tired eyes just so happened to see the strange man outside. "What the he-?!" he shouted then started cursing loudly.

Edward's head shot up. He didn't recognize any of those voices, and they didn't sound like Peg or Bill. He saw two unfamiliar people staring back at him, horrified. Edward frowned and started to panic.

katherine tried to calm her husband down...."sweetheart! be nice...come, dont you remember the tale of edward scissorhands?" she then saw edward becoming agitated..."come!" she grabbed his arm gently and pulled him inside and where the old woman was sitting, trying to listen

"DADDY STOP IT! STOP YELLING!" Lucy shouted in the cold night air. She continued to hold on to Edward's squeeky leather arm.
As her mother tried to calm her father, she said, "Come on Edward, let's go inside where it's warm." She pulled him softly by the arm and into the house.

Kim heard the yells and shouts die down a little and then it became quiet. Her eyes were set toward the fire that was flickering in the living room.

Timothy snatched a hold of Lucy and pulled her harshly away from the leather-clad man. "Get the he-" he stumbled through the doorway, "..away from him!"

Edward hesitantly stepped into the house, his scissorhands glinting in the new, bright moonlight that was streaming through the small curtained window.
He lowered his head once more, he didnt' want to look up, he was frightened. Where was Peg? Where was Bill?

Katherine looked at edward, he looked down like a beat puppy...she looked at her husand sharply and told him "hi edward, come on...i'll show you to kim...she's my mother you know..."

"Yeah, come on, Edward. You should say 'hi' to grandma Kim," Lucy said nicely.
She walked to Kim who was sitting in her rocking chair. "Grandma, I want you to meet someone special."

Kim's eyes turned from the brightly lit fireplace, to her granddaughter's small face. "Oh? Who is it dear?" she said with a soft smile.

Edward's head shot up. His sad eyebrows lifted ever so slightly. His pale scarred face was revealed. "Kim?..." he said in a hopeful silent tone. The black-ash eyes darted across the room, looking for the beautiful angel.

That voice..........it hit Kim like a freight train. Her stomach dropped and she felt as if she couldn't breathe. Memories flashed before her.....his face.....his sad eyes.........the scissors.....
She swallowed hard and slowly turned in the direction Lucy was looking at.

As Kim's eyesight ajusted within her glasses, there he was! She did not move but remained speechless and breathless. She had not seen her precious Edward in nearly 50 years......he looked absolutely the same. The way she had always known him.....the way she always remembered him.....
"E......Ed....." Kim could not say his name. She began to shake.
