OOC: Amoniel, if you really want to play the character with the Ring of Shadow, then you can, but I have a bio already made up. Which is as follows:
***
Name: Nicholas (Nick) O'Malley
Race: Human
Element/Ring: Shadow
Appearance: Nick has short, dark brown (almost black) hair. His face is gaunt and angular but still youthful. His eyes are the most astounding feature, as they are a bright, icy blue. He wears no armor and instead protects himself with his astounding agility. What he does wear is a black silken shirt, trousers, and cloak.
Personality: Nick almost never speaks, he just does, though he will listen to others. His actions can sometimes be perceived as rash.
Weapons: Nick has multiple daggers, darts, and shuriken (all coated with a fast-acting neurotoxin) hidden in various places on his person. His main weapons are twin sabers, however they have an elongated hilt and a few inch long hook on the end, pointing in the same direction as the sharp end of the saber. The blades also have a second hilt projecting out at a right angle a fourth of the way down the hilt, closer to the saber blade than the hook.
History: Nick was born to a remote farming family and actually found his ring buried in the back yard. Once he put it on, he was visited but the shadow of the demon that once possessed the ring. The demon kept visiting Nick and finally managed to make him run away from his home and join the other evil ring bearers.
Special Ability(s): Nick can turn himself into a noncoporeal shadow creature for a few minutes. The time varies depending on the level of concentration he can achieve and maintain.
***
IC: Kravyn dropped his fire shield, it wasn't doing any good as his blade cut off any branches before they reached the shield and it was now just another tax to his concentration. As to Turwaithiel's insult, that was easy to block.
"That is where you are wrong, at least partly. You say we're constantly trying to prove ourselves better than our fellows. That is true, but that makes up do the best we can at every task. As for good always winning, that is not true. The battle of good against evil-light against dark, if you will-is a never-ending battle. There may be temporary victors, but never a true winner. The reason for that is simple, the universe is balance. All good must be equaled by an identical evil. The greater the light cast by good, the greater the shadow cast by evil. This battle has raged for centuries and will rage on for centuries to come. It will never end, even if you think you have one the fight against our darkness, just look under your feet...it is there, just waiting to be released upon the world again. You can't keep it down forever."
Kravyn then let the flames barring the good ring bearer’s way back drop slightly, trying to make Turwaithiel think she was getting to him. It would hide his true strength for when he really needed it.

OOC: Amoniel, as I said, I don't mind either way which of us plays him, we just need to decide as soon as possible so he can get into the RPG. It might be easier for me to play him as I created him and have an idea of his....of how I would play him. But if you really do want to play Nick, then he's yours.

OOC: Thanks for the offer, Amoniel , but I think I can manage now. Things have calmed down in my life to a point where I can now get a stable RPing speed.
I'll get Nick's first post up tomorrow, TS, if that's not a problem.

((okay, I am back. ))
Turwaithiel glanced around at the burning barrier as it began to fade. She knew his words spoke truth in there and she swung her sword inbetween her hands, the flames following a second behind. She looked into Krayven's dark eyes and said,
"Are you going to attack me or are we going to chat all day? Either way, I will beat you at both!"

Threng, now in his noncorporial form, floated above the battle. The thrashing trees that moments before would have been his death now passed harmlessly through him. His command of the air was more acute in this form. He pulled at clouds that formed overhead, and in a matter of minutes formed a raging funnel of air. He aimed it at the wall of fire, pushing all his energy and will into one task. The tornado ravaged the ground beneath the flame, pulling at its fuel and air. Threng let the tornado die as the fire was extinguished.

Amaritha felt the use of her element. From her perch in the tree, she looked up to see Threng extinguishing her comrad's fire. With a sigh, she became her element, flowing with the air currents.
"So, Threng, making some use of your power for once?"

Turwaithiel smiled up at Threng and then looked back at Krayven. Something was up his sleeve, and she didn't like it. She finally decided that playing defensive wasn't the answer. She gripped her sword firmly, as she was taught, and then she went up charging, going for his waist as a target.

"As always" Threng answered Amaritha, violently aware of her manipulation of his element. He didn't engage her though: that would waste time. Both he and Amaritha, being bearers of the ring of air, were impervious to eachother's attacks.

OOC: Sorry for my absence. But I should be back now.
IC: Kravyn knew that the mini-twister would kill the fires, so instead of fighting to keep them alive, he let them die. He did not re-ignite them once the twister disapeared, he just readied himself to as soon as anyone made a break for the ring, most likely allowing them to be inside of it before igniting it so they would die a very horrible and painful death.
As for Turwaithiel's attack, that was easy to pary. The demon just whipped his blade down from its old position aboce his head, hilt to the right, in a circular pary. He turned the pary into a counterattack by swinging it up on the left side, stepping forwards with his right foot, and slammed the blade down at the elf's head. At the last possible second, Kravyn turned that momentum into a circular motion and whipped his blade at Turwaithiel's midsection.

Cylinn moved back in the trees and watched as the battle progressed. There would be a victory soon and Cylinn had a sinking feeling it was not going to be them--The 'Evil' Side. Cylinn tried to flick into the attacker's minds to find out what there next move would be, but was unsuccessful.

Turwaithiel didn't expect the attack to go towards her mid-section, and she had to do a weird move to dodge it, for she couldn't get her sword down quick enough to block it. Instead, she thrust her sword straight towards his right shoulder just as his sword nicked her waist, making a clean slice right across. Turwaithiel gasped at the pain but didn't buckle over, but completed her move to try and nail his shoulder with her blade. She could heal her wounds later.

Kravyn did not kill Turwaithiel, not supprising as he didn't intend to. However, she didn't bend over to avoid the sword entirely as he had expected. Instead she just partially moved and thrust at his right shoulder, although by the time it came close to landing it was his left shouder as he completed his turn.
The elf's blade slashed a neat line across his left shoulder not biting deep enough to cut muscle or bone but deep enough to draw blood. He hissed, his spin sending flecks of his burning blood spraying behind him. As he returned to a forward facing position, Kravyn brought his blade down at his opponent's knees.
