Jaden took hi speeder up to the starting position. He didn't plann to make any moves that would be too fancy but still strapped himself in.

"Only the pilot's skills... the force is a skill." Jaden thought to himself as he waited for the race to start.

It was now onlya minute until the race started. He began to sweat, and thought, " I hope they'll be ok...."but he shook that out of his head and Pushed that thought away by saying " Of COURSE they'll be ok! there jedi!" in his head.

Val put her hand on the throttle as she watched the last few seconds count down on the time display.
The starting signal beeped through her headset.
She slammed the throttle as far forward as it would go and took her hand off it, prepared to leave it there, steering the speeder at full throttle.

Jaden forced the throtle full forwards as the starting signal came in.

His speeder jerked off the starting line and flashed ontot he track.

Cilicia shot off the starting line like a rocket, passing by the noises that filtered through his mind.

Val cleared her mind and focused on the first obstacle coming up - a series of hairpin curves. Anakin's speeder was slightly in front of her, but she knew these curves like the back of her hand. She barreled into them, passing two other speeders as she manipulated her side thrusters. A tight roll took her through the third turn, ever closer to Anakin - and into an abrupt course change that she didn't expect at all. Her speeder screamed in protest as she flipped and forced it downward, loosing speed through the turn. That will teach me to be presumptuous!

Now sheilk watched the racers, frowning at difficulties and smiling at Gains of speed and positions.

Jaden took to the curves fast and clean, just behind Val.

Moving up along side her he pressed his speeder to the limmits. He understood this wasn't about the individual and so was not about to get in her way... But he was not about to slow down either.

(*confused* where the heck are we getting a canyon of stone on a planet that is one big city?)

Val expanded her awareness, not yet using the Force for anything but reflex aid, anticipating the course in front of her. "Everything's fine 'back here'," she answered cheerfully, "but 'back here' is about to become 'up there'."
She reached for the directional thruster controls again, gunning four of them at once. The net force (not the Force but force in physical terms ) added some extra impulse to her craft. It leapt ahead, rapidly gaining on Anakin's speeder. She punched the thrusters again, then slammed her yoke and back fins in opposite directions, side-slipping into a position just behind him. A tunnel loomed ahead, and they went through, the nose of Val's speeder glued to the fins of Anakin's.

Jaden continued to weav his way through the obsticles, full throtle never letting up.

Then as a stretch of straight track appeared infront of him he put his more hidden talllents into play.

Using the force he decreased the wieght of the speeder causing it to pick u speed quickly. Using the same technique for levitation it was a simple task if went about in the right way.

Cilicia raced down the track, sending csual insults out to the speeders who ramed into his side.

He was nearly even with Jaden and Val who were off to the right side of the track.

Forcing the throtle forwards he slamed against the wall, using side thrusters and a high powered jolt witht he force he jumped up and ran allong the wall, passing a line of speeders that blocked his way.

Val checked the time display in her cockpit. Four minutes, thirty-seven seconds, so far. And the Hed Spire was looming up ahead, its supporting pillars twining artistically around each other. The course wound through them, squeezing through tiny gaps the width of one speeder.
Still on Anakin's tail, Val hurtled toward them, the surrounding city lights blurring into long, colorful streaks. Reaching out with the Force, she burrowed into her engine, adding extra compression to her fuel supply. Her speeder shot forward, going through the first gap directly underneath Skywalker's. Then she was free and clear, with only four or five opponents ahead of her.
