"That's my mother's," hissed Isabelle, shrinking in disgust from the pirate's grip and still holding her dressing gown firmly shut with one hand, her hair falling unbound around her face, which was paler than normal. "Don't touch it!"
Claudia ignored Isabelle's distress and covered the room in a few long strides, surveying Victoria with an air of careless superiority and taking in her long silk dress with a glance of scorn. "My, aren't we fine," she remarked disdainfully, her mouth twisting into a smirk. "That'll bring a pretty penny, eh?" she remarked to the other pirate, her hand closing like an iron band around Victoria's arm.

Isabelle looked disgusted, affronted and embarassed simultaneously, and her face turned a curious shade of crimson. Both her arms were now gripped and her gown had fallen open, showcasing her nightdress, which was lovely with white lace and satin, but was too revealing for Isabelle's taste. "I am not marrying some flea-ridden rum-soaked pirate!" she hissed. "Let me go this instant!"

Maxwell woke up on the veranda where him and his wife had been dozing; as he heard the commotion going on. He gently shook his sleeping wife, motioning her to duck down. Then he reached ever so carefully for his black powder pistol, and opened the door.
He was frightfully angered at the dirty pirate holding his daughter. "Let her go now!!" he cried, making a dash for the man.
