Rain was standing in her stall, eating some hay. Shade approached her and smiled.

"Hullo girl." Rain's head came up and she whinnied. She kicked the gate softly with her hooves and Shade sighed. "You wanna go out?" Rain, weirdly, looked as if she nodded. He patted her nose and then opened her gate, leading her out of the barn and into a riding ring not too far off.

He brought her in and closed the gate to the ring, then climbed onto the fence to get on her. He loved riding her bareback and he thought she liked it too, espeically in the summer. He smiled and said, "Let's go, girl. Just a trot, now." Rain neighed and then they started to trot around the ring.

Kole decided she would go and explore the farm. She slipped out of her room (which she had finally found) and outside. It seemed to be a nice day, so she made her way to the stables. Footpath was standing lazily in a cozy stall, so Kole gave her a pat and left.

Haily walked away, and went to greet the guests. She found a redhead in the 'friesian' room.
"Hi, I'm Haily O'Connel," she said.
"I'm AJ," AJ said, finnishing unpacking all her stuff...

Shade could tell that Rain was really fired up today, and so her let her go into a gallop. He loved the wind going through his hair and that was usually the only time you could see his eyes.

Kole sighed. There was nothing to see. She had been around the stables and buildings twice, and had seen nobody but a kid riding his horse. Rolling her eyes, she wandered back to her room.

"Haily!" came an older masculine-sounding voice, calling up the stairs. "It's your day to set the table and feed the cats and you've forgotten again..."

Seth came bounding up the stairs three by three, and leaned his lanky self against the door-frame. "Oh, hello," he said in AJ's direction. He was really very good-looking, with brown hair that fell into his eyes with a sort of uncaring elegance. "Better do that, Hai."

On her way to her room, Kole tripped over a cat. It snarled at her and she jumped.
"You're vicious!" she hissed back at it. The cat gave her an annoyed look and stalked off to do its own cat things.

"You just wanna flirt, yeah big flirt." she said, and pushed pasted him, blonde hair flying. She went to go do her chores...

"I ask you!" said Seth, rolling his eyes expressively. "Don't know where she gets that idea at all." He grinned disarmingly at AJ. "So, I guess you just arrived, eh?"

Kole stared at the painting across the hall. Was it just her... or did it move? She walked over and pushed it back into a straight position. She stepped back and prepared to leave, but the painting fell with a loud crash. Kole jumped and scuttled away from the scene, acting as innocent as she could.

"What do you think?" came the reply. AJ leaned againt her room's doorway, and folded her arms, redhair tied back in a low ponytail with a biret with horses on it. She wore jeans, and mukey cowgirl boots, a white t-shirt that said I Love Horses on it...

Shade finished his ride and unmounted Rain. "Good girl." He smiled and then said, "You may stay here, girl. I got chores to do. Catchya later." She whinned and then started to eat some grass as Shade leaped over the fence and went running up the house steps.

"Yeah, guess that was a bit obvious," said Seth. "I like your shirt."

Then he was gone, supposedly to help with dinner, and leaving an air of supreme unconcern in his wake, and usually a slightly flustered girl.

Kole was bored. She grabbed a pen and started to doodle a picture of a horse on her hand, but the pen wasn't working and all it managed to do was scratch her. She threw it at the wall in frustration.
