Here's my OC:
Name: Gabriel Tanner
Age: 26
Gender: male
Appearance: cropped brown hair and hazel eyes. Lean and of average height, and generally very unremarkable appearance and not extremely memorable, which can be valuable in situations requiring piracy.
Attire: Black boots and trousers, and a brown coat over the customary white shirt. Brown tricorne.
History: Many wonder why Gabriel turned to piracy, but very few know. The truth is that he swore never to join the navy, being violently opposed to the Crown due to the hanging of his father for some petty crime when Gabriel was teenaged. Tanning is not a very profitable profession, and when his passenger ship was boarded and plundered by pirates he saw no reason not to join them.
Personality: As far as I can tell at this point (characters will take on a life of their own, and I can't stop them) he's reserved, gruff, and nobody can tell for sure where he stands.
Weapons: The customary sword and pistol.

If that's the series of events that you're going for, then you'll want to change your timeframe. Bootstrap was sent to the depths after Isla de Muerta, which occured 10 years before CotBP. You currently have this RPG set 13 years before, which would be accurate to your description of Jones having only recently raised the Pearl, but Gibbs would be serving in the Royal Navy at this point, and Barbossa was not yet Jack's first mate. In fact, Bootstrap's the only canon character besides Jack who would be making a significant appearance at this point.
I could go into far mroe detail about the history of the Pearl and her captain, but I won't. I was actually already considering starting an RPG set around the first journey to the Isla de Muerta before I saw this, so maybe it's just best that I make my own.

pirateoftherings: Of course, but Bootstrap STILL wouldn't be doing much. Gibbs was simply done because requested. If you do start a new RP, I may join.
