((CF, you didn't have to pm me. But one of the rules stated was that everyone is going to branch out in this RPG. There are still crewmen available if you want to join us, but you know as well as I do that it was nothing personal. I told Pippin she couldn't have Jack either. Join as one of the available crewmen if you like. Otherwise, maybe next time, mate. ;)))

"William!" came the oh so enthusiastic response to Mr. Turner's apathetic statement. Every inch the reunited friend, Sparrow spread his arms wide as if to invite a hug - and nearly fell over himself in the process.

Will didn't budge an inch. In fact, the expression on his face was anything but happily congenial.

There went that avenue of greeting. Resigned, Jack contented himself with draping a familiar arm around the young blacksmith's shoulders - pointedly ignoring the stiffening of those same shoulders - and steered them both off in a spontaneously conceived direction.

"William, m'boy," he began, idly waving the empty rum bottle with his free hand as if illustrating some grand design. "How would ye like t'sally off with dear ol' Jack on an ecclesiastical quest of an economic adventure across the seven seas in the locating of the detection of several items of concealed valuables and secret keys?"

"Aye," Marty agreed. "It seems like he's in one of his strange days. Stranger." He corrected himself. Jack always acted rather strange but today was definitely one of those days where Marty would agree with the doctors about his mental condition.

It took Will a split second to assimilate this slough of sudden wordiness, but his confusion showed only in the fractional raising of one eyebrow. After a moment he said with an air of skepticality, "Jack, I'm going to be married."

He seemed to think this might denote a refusal, but on further examination (perhaps inspired by the rather intoxicated appearance of Jack in general) decided to explain further. "It - being married - requires funds, which are generally not obtained by sailing off in search of fabled valuables."

"Jolly good, off to the Pearl we go then," was Jack's brisk response, steering Will back the way he'd come towards the docks. His mind was already working overtime, making plans for the voyage, mapping their route of travel...

Wait. What the bloody...? "Married?" he reiterated, his expression one of perfect blankness. He had to blink twice before his slightly intoxicated mind assimilated the fact that - "Ye eunuchy scoundrel, so ye did get yer bonny what's-her-face! Drinks all around!" He waved his bottle in the air and took another sip before realizing, to his extreme dismay, that it was empty. Making a face at the empty dregs at the bottom, he emphatically shook it.

And no, lightning from God did not strike down from the heavens and refill it.

He muttered something derogatory and tossed the bottle to the side, where it promptly shattered on an unfortunate bloke's forehead. "Come, mate. My ship's not docked far from here, so ye might as well go take a look, eh? After all..." Blissfully ignorant of his fishy breath, he sidled over to look Will in the face. "Said fabled valuables fetch a price - nigh incomparable in all the Caribbean, mate, if ye 'appen to know where to look."

"No." Will attempted to sound as final as possible, and hastily continued before Jack could go off on a long tangent. As he had been known to do. "Governer Swann would be distinctly unimpressed if his daughter's fiance went off on some crackpot quest a month before her wedding."

Ducking from beneath the pirate's arm where it was haphazardly slung across his shoulders, Will executed a polite bow entirely due to force of habit. "I'm afraid you'll have to find someone else, Jack. Tortuga must be full of scoundrels willing to assist you."

[Here is my bio potr, thanks for letting me join]
Name: Josiah Duncan [most commonly addressed by his last name]
Age: 33
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tallish, dark complexion and hair, bearded face.
Attire: Breeches that reach directly below his knee, white blouse-y shirt which looks as if it has been worn 4 years straight without a washing.
Personality: Satirical and sarcastic, but often indifferent when it comes to important matters.
Weapons: A stolen cutlass.
History: Was recruited by Gibbs in Tortuga, and has been on Jacks crew ever since.
Pictures: http://imdb.com/gallery/hh/1312205/HH/1 ... M.%20Scott

Duncan walked lazily about the deck, blatantly ignoring the orders he had been given earlier. After all, what was the use of being a pirate if one couldn't ignore the rules every now and then? One step, and then another, and he planted himself in front of Gibbs and Marty, audaciously eavesdropping in to their conversation.

"An' do we even know where we're goin'? What we're doin' here? This is no proper place for pirates," he muttered, inclining his head to the bustling Port Royal. He took out a small flask, and took a quick drink out of it before tucking it back in his breeches.

Here they had been, months without a new tale of fame or fortune. Months without adventure, true or exaggerated. And that one ship, his heart beat double when he thought of it; positively loaded with loot for the taking. It would have been like taking a kiss from a young girl; p'raps easier. Jack had something weighing down his mind, and obviously pushing aside the lust for gold.

Sorry I was angry at that moment. I agree with ya. Who have you got for me in store available? I remember there was the man with a parrot.

((I believe Elegost claimed Mr. Cotton as a second character (he'd be kinda boring to play as your only character, since he doesn't really have any lines aside from what his parrot says). As I said before, there are several crewmen available still. Unless you and Elegost work something out concerning Mr. Cotton, I'd recommend taking a crewman. (The only one with an actual bio is Leech)))

(Ok I am Leech then)
Name: Leech
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, maybe at his old 30's
Title: Crew Member
Family: Unknown
Personality: Mutiny, greedy for gold, stammerer
Appearence: black skin, dark hair, brown eyes, moustache

http://images.wikia.com/pirates/images/e/ee/Leech.jpg

Leech was wandering around the deck like the rest of the crew. His both hands were attached behind his back, thinking of some way to make money.

Leech's eye fixed on the other crewmen and decided to go nearby. He jumped into the conversation as he always does and cut off the words of Duncan.

"Definitely going nowhere, just we are on the same port but we have to be on hunt for gold. This is what the piracy about, is not it? why we have come here if not we are in search for more and more ... money" He stammered the last words after he glanced around and at crewmen around.

"Ah, but it's not dirty scoundrels I be looking for, is it?" Jack came around and planted himself in Mr. Turner's path. A smirk touched at the corners of his lips, but his gaze was intent. "Think about it. You. Your bonny lass. A house all to yerselves, eh? Unless ye can spit out shiny items of value as well as ye can sing, I'm afraid ye be needin' some help, mate."

He leaned back and regarded Will with a crafty eye. He spread his arms to either side of him as though putting himself on display. "Opportunely for you and ol' what's-her-face, ye got the best pirate in the Spanish Main at yer disposal."

Oh, Mr Cotton and his Parrot. :-D

Having just been surfing through this topic, I came across that most suspicious statement. :bones: That wouldn't happen to have been drawn from a certain MSN chat a week or so ago, would it?

Will was silent. He couldn't deny the offer was tempting. Selling what he made, be it sword or horseshoe, was not what could be described as a lucrative trade. A sudden image of Governor Swann, leaning over his daughter to turn pages where she sat playing the pianoforte, rose unbidden to his mind. But surely the Governor would not approve of riches earned by piracy?

He doesn't have to know. The thought crept slyly in. This was true. Will surveyed the pirate before him in sudden calculation. "I'll need to make arrangements."

"Then what the bloody are ye waiting for, man? Get to it, get to it!" Twisting his face into an expression of absolute disgust, Jack Sparrow repeatedly flicked his hands outwards, as if to shoo Turner away. "Meet me at the docks."

Playing king, he dismissed the eunuch with a last wave of his hand. Arrangements? What arrangements were there to make? Kiss his dolly belle good-bye, hitch up his ugly breeches, wave farewell at the Commodore...

With a careless shrug he sauntered back the way he'd come, excusing himself through the crowds and deftly returning imprecations as he went. He even made a detour to the outside bakery, where his luck seemed to abandon him. Two shillings? he thought, tossing the borrowed wallet away in disagreeable humor. Weren't all bakers bloated men? What else did they do with all that squishy on their stomachs if not to puke up shillings?

Pocketing the coins nonetheless - clinky things were clinky things, after all - he stepped out onto the dock and made his way over to the dubious raft that defined his auspicious means of transporation. No sea turtles. No human hair. Pity. But that schooner on the opposite pier did look kind of pretty. Grabbing an empty rum bottle if only for appearance, he swaggered over to have a talk with the schooner's captain.

Will turned rather slowly around and went back to the shop. Arrangements indeed. He eyed the inebriated Mr. Brown, exactly in the position he'd left him. As much as anyone had to know was that Will Turner had a sudden family crisis and had to leave to take care of it before his imminent wedding. Yes. The governor would understand - much as Will detested how his every move seemed determined by what the governor would think - but he should really tell Elizabeth the truth. And Mr. Brown...well. Will couldn't deny that he wasn't overtly worried about suspicions the perpetually drunk senior smith would have.

Having decided this, Will left a carefully worded note on the anvil and set off for the Governor's house. One explanation would be needed for both Elizabeth and her father, and he hoped he could catch his fiance alone sometime afterwards to tell her the truth.

Elizabeth continued to make her way through the streets as quickly as she dared, pausing every so often to avoid contact with someone who might recognize her. As many benefits as being the governor's daughter had, she decided as she ducked into an alley to hide from one of Port Royal's better-known gossips, it most definitely had its downsides. Just once, she'd like to be able to roam about freely, without one of her father's many influential friends commenting on the most peculiar place they had seen his daughter earlier that day- oh, and did he know that that young blacksmith fellow had been with her?

Suppressing the urge to groan, Elizabeth decided that it was probably best to stick to the alleys and minor streets anyway. She'd gone some distance more when she paused at a partially-destroyed wall. At first glance it appeared to be nothing more than residual ruins from the pirate attack several months ago (for that was what it was), but by removing several bricks from the walls, she revealed a long, narrow cavity in the otherwise insignificant structure. Glancing about quickly to ensure that no one was around, she extracted a long bundle wrapped in cloth from the clever hiding place.

After neatly tucking the strange package under her arm, Elizabeth hastily replaced the bricks and continued on her way. She was in such a hurry that she didn't even see the other individual around the corner until they had sharply collided in a tangle of arms and legs. She was about to apologize profusely and offer a hasty explanation for her rather odd cargo when she realized that she recognized this man.

"Will!" she exclaimed breathlessly, quickly picking herself up and dusting off her skirts. "I'm sorry I'm so late; my father's plans for the afternoon were delayed, and I only just managed to get out." Seeing no realization on his face, she continued. "We had a lesson today, remember?"
