((I am Now starting.))
Tricia walked alone the dusty road towards the next village, she shifted her bag on her shoulder to make it easier. As she approched she saw a wedding take place, and for a second the couple looked like her self and the man she loved, blinking away tears the vision was normal again.

Name: Cina
Sex: female
Age: 239
Side: Evil
Weapons: The shard, fire magic and a sword.
# of shards: 1 (in her chest)
History: When Cina was a little girl she was sacrificed by her tribe to the God of Fire to save them from the forest fires destorying thier land. She was sacrified useing a crystal knife, a shard, except with her the shard stuck in her chest, bringing her back to life, but in part possed by the shard. With her new powers she destoyed the village. Now she roams the lands, partly at her own will and partly at that of the shard, killing any that she meets; though the girl in her just wants someone to love her.

Merrick stood alongside of the road, looking over his shoulder every now and then as nonchalantly as he could. They would be coming for him again. The note, the note said they would be coming for him. And this time, he doubted they would spare mercy on his life.
He began walking again, but his pace was slow... much to slow for a young man in the height of his life. Unconsciously, his hands gripped at the shards in his bag (which also contained his few earthly possessions). They musn't get the shards, they musn't. Even if I run for the rest of my life... he thought with a bitter smile.
But then his fingertips brushed something else in his bag.
Tricia...
He pulled out a dried letter, something she had written him- a part of his life he couldn't let go of. Not yet. Not when he still loved her so much.
But she probably thought he was a cheater, a sorry good-for-nothing who had run out on her. If she only knew... but he hadn't it in him to tell her. Accursed hero's, he'd never be one, not if he could fight his way to the end. Why couldn't he fight this passionate love for her the same way?

Tricia sat on the bench and took out some food. She was hungry, as she ate the wedding ended and people were walking in a group to a buliding not far from her. She glanced up and saw some people looking at her, then, for an instant she saw him, she blinked. "It's not him." She said sadly. Merrick, why did she see him every where, she knew should have hated him for leaving her, not even saying good bye. He had come, grabbed a few things and left before she could say a word. 3 years and she still loved him, still dreamed about finding him and playfully telling him off before holding him in her arms, laughing and crying at the same time.

Cina sat huddeled in a tree. "Why...why do i have to do this?" she moned softly. Becuse i say so...
"But why..."
Do you think anyone will have you after all the innocents you have killed, you rejoiced in ther deaths...do not lie to me. The shard spoke though her mouth. The only way to get what you want is my way..the way of evil...that is why. Cina hung her head and nodded once.

Hey, would you mind if I join? I'll write up my character's bio in a bit. (Not sure what side he is on, which side needs more people? I'll put him on that side)

Ardra checked her horse's pace as she approached the village. It had been a long day, and she was tired. Her hand went to a pocket, looking for some string to tie her thick black hair back, but her hand hit something else. The shard. Her hand closed around it and she rode into the village with it her fingers clasped tightly around it.

Elarinya slowed her mare's pace as she neared the closest village, her aqua eyes scanning the surroundings for any disturbance. The shard she carried bounced in her pocket, hidden from view. She could feel it brushing against her, and knew that she carried no ordinary trinket. Reaching into her pocket she instinctively fingered the piece before quickly withdrawing her hand. The village was so close now. Drawing a deep breath, she urged her mare onward, hoping that here she would be able to find a brief respite from her travels.

Danae sat alone at a table in the village tavern. While one hand was holding her mug of ale, the other was down in her lap, resting possesively on the small brown pouch she kept tied to her belt. Her coal black eyes studied the other patrons suspiciously. Surely none of these people, common villagers and ruffians like herself, could know what she had in that pouch, what she kept hidden so secretly.
But someone in the last town she was in had.
When they first began chasing her, she had assumed they were just townspeople who had found out that she was the person who was responsible for the thievery that had been going on lately, but when one had gone for her pouch, she knew differently. The shard.
When she had first found the shard almost ten years ago, she had thought it just a lovely trinket, a family keepsake perhaps belonging to the owners of the house she had been ransacking. But as time passed, it became apparent that it was much more than a pretty family heirloom. She now knew it for what it really was.
She had barely escaped her pursuers in the last village. It had been many days of rough riding on a stolen horse and long sleepless nights. She wanted to believe that maybe she could find some rest here in this village, but who knew. Her pursuers could be waiting for her anywhere.
The whole time she was finishing her ale, her hand never left her pouch.

Braad needed a break. He had been moving a pile of hay from a farmer's field into his barn for the last few hours. He tossed his pitchfork into the pile in the barn and stepped out into the sun, stretching his back and squinting in the bright light.
He had arrived in this town yesterday evening. Going from house to house, he had found the farmer and his wife willing to let him have a meal and place to sleep, in exchange for some work.
He sat down, leaning back against the side of the sun-warmed barn. He unconsciously reached a hand towards the leather pouch he wore on a string around his neck. He kept most of his possesions there- some coins, and the strange shard of diamond that he had found. The rest of his possesions, he was wearing.
After a few moments, Braad sighed and stood. He had better get back to work- that hay wasn't about to move itself.

There was a hand at his throat. How did that happen?
He must have fallen asleep. Wonderful.
"Didn't your mother ever tell you how dangerous those things are?" he asked the man who was holding a blade at his throat, in a deep, yet cheeky voice.
“Shaddup.”
"Well, that's right friendly of you Strong Arms, but don't you think that-"
A strong punch made sharp contact with his jaw, in a most unfriendly way, and Merrick went sprawling backwards. He went to pick himself up, but there was a boot on his chest. He jerked for a few minutes, and then found his efforts completely useless. All he had to offer was a weak smile, and even that was strained as the boot pressed harder on his chest. Air was suddenly getting a bit scarce around here.
The man let off and grabbed Merrick by his longish hair, pulling their faces frighteningly close together.
"The shard." he said demandingly, not as if it was a question.
"It wouldn't look good on you," he sauntered back, recieving another punch for reward. But this time he took opputunity of the fall. He hit the ground running; and when it came to speed, he had the advantage over this bloke. The footfalls were quickening behind him, and he looked about madly for a diversion.
What ho. A tree! Good luck, no doubt, tree's usually were. Darting into the darkening shadows, he scrambled up into the branches, holding his breath. The fellow with a thin knife and thick arms passed underneath, heading straight for the village. Idiot.
Just when Merrick began to congratulate himself on it all, he turned his face round slowly, a sarcastic smile plastered over it all. And then he saw her. A girl.
"What in the name of the celestials are you!?" he demanded of Cina, straining to see her in the dark. "And what are you doing in my tree?" he added possessively.

Penfire rode his black stallion, half asleep in the saddle. The horse chomped on a silver bit, and reached down to take some long grass amidst his long stride. Anyone could hear him coming from a long way off, due to all the necklaces, ring, bracelets, and huge assortment of other things that decorated himself. Yes, most called him a strange, crazy man that didn't know what he was saying. But there were those select few who could. Yawning tiredly, he stretched, making his shirtmail click, and necklaces jingle. With glooves with the figers cut off, Penfire felt through his dreads, finding threads here and there that was tied to his hair, and held something else on the other end. A few contaned bones, stones, glass, feathers, and three shards. Though only one looked like a shard, the other two were quite smooth. With his other hand, Penfire patted the stallion's withers, which, if looked at close enouph, you could see a little bit of the red dye that made a picture of a rose.
Up ahead on the rode, he watched a strong man chase a smaller man up a tree. Lauphing at the scene, he watched the 'chaser' walk over and point a dagger at him.
"Did you see a man run by?" he demanded.
"I see what I see, and don't say what I see, for what I see is the strangest of things." Penfire replied. The 'chaser' looked at him funny, than walked off. Penfire lauphed again, before looking up in the tree to see a more femanine figure with the one that had been chased.
(Fencing Maide & Andi) {I'll bring in my other chacter later, this post is long enouph}

Elarinya quickly entered the village and headed for the stables. After setting her mare in for the day she headed for the village tavern. She could feel unfriendly eyes on her back and quickly turned around, her hand instinctively reaching back for her bow. But there was nothing, save the dust billowing at her feet. Her arm slowly dropped to her side and she continued onward, her senses alert. She feared she was being tracked and quickly entered the tavern as nonchalantly as possible to avoid drawing unfriendly stares. Finding an empty booth across from Danae, she quickly sat down and ordered a mug of ale. As the server brought the drink, Elarinya studied the maiden that looked to be around her age. There was something suspicious about her-as if she too were trying to conceal a secret. Slowing sipping her drink she turned her gaze away from Danae and studied the other patrons in the tavern. She was wary of them all. Ever since she left Calanon, she felt as if evil were pursuing her. Her thoughts then to the shard in her pocket. She could sense that this piece was the root of her troubles, the reason her village was maliciously slaughtered. Glancing around the tavern she continued to drink in silence, planning her next course of action.
