Bella sat patiently as Alice flapped around her, pinning the wedding dress where it was too big. She didn't think there was anything wrong with the dress, but Alice was Alice and she said that it needed taking in in places. The dress was so precisely as Bella had pictured it it frightened her a little, in the creeped out sense rather than anything else. She had acquired the skill to hide her surprise, to an extent, anyway.

She sighed dramatically and wondered what everyone else was doing. Edward was no doubt near by, not that he was allowed in to see the dress. Alice firmly pushed him out of the door and closed it in his face whenever he went to enter the room. Bella looked at Alice as she stood and looked at her handiwork.

"Any good?" She asked.

Carlisle Cullen sat at the kitchen table, his black eyes brooding as the scenarios spun in his head. Bella was due to be changed in 2 months, an accaeptable deadline. However, the Volturi and thier guard were pressuring them more do finish the process. Add that to the fact that Charlie Swan actually had suffered a small heart attack upon realising Edward's intentions, meant that they were unwanted guests. On topof that, with Bella's transformation, the Treaty with the Quilutes would be broken, and Carlisle knew who would strike first. No win all around, They would have to leave permanently. Carlisle decided to cal Tanya to see if they coulsd seek refuge for a while after Bella was changed.

"Almost," Alice said, squinting at different areas of the dress. She then circled Bella in her ever-so-lovely bridal dress like she did when she faced a particular nasty foe. "It should be fine," Alice finally concluded, her face marked with slight relief. "Given the short notice. I would have gone with more editing, but you know how it is." She sighed and ran her hands through her short black hair. "Do you want to see how beautiful you look?" she asked, her eyes hinting at the giant mirror that she bought for that purpose.

Bella rolled her eyes as Alice did the dramatic-squinting thing which made her feel like something under the microscope. She wondered just how elaborate the wedding would be, with all of the planning Alice was doing it was probably going to be an utter spectacle. There were times when Bella regretted giving Alice so much free reign.

"Do you want to see how beautiful you look?" Alice asked.

Bella smiled as pleasantly as she could,

"Alright then."

She went to the mirror - indeed it was huge - and twirled about in front of it. She really did look like something from the 1900's. She smiled faintly and said,

"Edward's going to love it."
