:)

Name: Fritha
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Race: Witch
Affinities (applies only to witches): Her affinity is with the element of water.
Weapons: Has a walking staff that will use if utterly necessity. Otherwise she chooses not to indulge in violence.
Appearance: Tall and slender, with waist long blue-black hair and turqoise eyes that become brighter when summoning her element.
Personality: A very calm and serene person, Fritha is a peacemaker and a diplomat in a manner of speaking. It is hard to raise her ire, but once her temper is pushed to it's uttermost limit she can be a volatile character. These moments of anger however are extremely rare.
History: *still pondering this one*

Is this okay?

Bio looks great, Raiv! :-D (Is it ok if I call you that?)

And thanks a bunch for joining Nienna.

For everyone who doesn't have a bio up yet, it would be great if you all could get them up within the next couple of days because I would like to start us off soon. If some of you are unable to get one up yet, it is also okay if you would like to jump in later.

More Bios :bounce: I'll notify Tur and then we can start.

Nienna: Yes, it is about witches, but I can see where you got mixed up because the witches control the elements. So, the only thing you would need to change is pick one element (fire, earth, water, air) that your character has a strong affinity to, and maybe another that he/she has a weak affinity to. Then just change the race to witch. I also said that witches could only be female, but there is no need to change that because I just read the last book in the series I'm basing this on, and turns out, they can be male as well lol. So just modify that one thing and we'll be good :) Oh and btw, which one is supposed to be the Gatherer of Souls? The race for that character would be Fae.

I'm going to PM Tur, and see if she can get her bio up tonight, and if she can't I'll tell her she can just jump in whenever she's ready. Hopefully I will have the opening post tonight.

(Alright here it goes!)

The woods were silent but for the clopping of horses hooves. Rhys crouched quietly behind the dead log, watching the rode intently. One sound could give her away. One sound could commit her to the same fate her mother, grandmother, and cousins had met with. Sheer luck had kept her from slaughter thus far, and she wasn't quite ready for it to run out yet. She cringed in fear as a long black snake slitthered out of a hole in the log not a foot away from her. Rhys bit her lip to keep from making a sound.

Of course she wasn't sure that these people would turn her in upon sight. She longed so badly for company, warm food, and shelter that she almost ran out into the road to meet them. But she knew she couldn't take that chance. If the riders were loyal to the Inquisitors, they would take one look at her woodland eyes, a trademark characteristic of witches, and bring her in for "questioning." Rhys knew what the Inquisitors way of getting answers was. They tortured their victims in indescribable ways until the person was so broken that they admitted to whatever they were being accused of, regardless of whether they were guilty or not. Rhys had seen the results of this. If those riders were supporters of the Inquisitors, and she made herself known, she would not live out the night.

When Rhys was finally satisfied that the riders were well out of sight and hearing range, she slumped against the log and let out a relieved sigh. She stayed there for a few moments, letting the earth comfort her. Great Mother, please let me get safely to the West, she pleaded silently. For now, the western territories of Sylvalan were safe. The Inquisitor's lies hadn't spread so far yet. Her grandmother had occasionally spoken of distant kin of theirs who lived at the western borders. If she could only make it that far, she might find sanctuary.

With another sigh, Rhys stood up. There was still plenty of daylight left to make it another mile, maybe more. What she wouldn't give for a good horse! She took a sip from her canteen and pushed her dirty black hair out of her eyes. The west was still many miles away. She had a long walk ahead of her. If she could make it.

----

Feet scurried across the leave covered bottom of the woods silently. A small gray rabbit stirred beneath a bush not far away. The vixen stopped and crouched low to the ground, sharp fangs bared. The rabbit knew that this was its end. It had nowhered to run, nowhere to hide. In a blur of red fur, the fox pounced.

She devoured her prey in the privacy of the small burrow, she had been calling home for the past few weeks. It felt like ages, since Ayaren had taken her Fae form. She preferred the wild, animal ways of the fox now. When her mate, the Bard, was killed, she shifted to her other form, knowing she would stay that way for a long time, until the hurt subsided. Since the Fae's beginning the Bard and the Muse had been companions. Music and stories were always intertwined. Now that part of her was gone. Who knew how long it would be before another Fae with the gift ascended to take the Bard's place?

The scent of smoke broke into her thoughts and called her out of her burrow. She followed the small to the edge of the forest and saw the small cottage, burnt to the ground. Sadness and rage welled up in her. This was an Old Place, home of two sister witches. She walked inside, fearing what she would find. It was as she thought. Dead. Ayaren ran out of the debris as fast as she could, wanting to escape the brutal death that lingered there.

How could the Clan let this happened. She had guested with the Clan whose piece of Tir Allain was anchored to this Old Place. Most of the Fae there were arrogant, pompous. They thought of the witches and humans of this world as servants and things to be used for their entertainment. Not anymore. For the first time in months, Ayaren shifted out of her fox form. And marched straight up the Shining Road into Tir Allain. They were going to get a taste of the Muse's scathing tongue.

Aildara exaimened the ground, bowing his antlered head as he noted the tracks. He could smell a witch. He pawed at the ground, and grunted. A pair of Fae in thier animal forms, Cahan in his kestrel raiment and Cuae in her serpent form, emerged from the cover and shed thier animal ramients, revealing thier true colours as Fae. Aildara changed as well, his white muszzle turning to a feal-featured face. He gestured to the tracks. "A witch. She is not far, if we make haste, we may find her yet." He said, probing the tracks with his fingertips. The dirt was very soft, they could find her easily before nightfall.

Cuae cast about, her bow in hand. "Horses passed this way, Lord. Could the witch have been taken?" She asked.

Cahan shook his head. "No, her stacks overlap the hoofprints. She passed this way after the horses had passed her by." He said, looking ahead along the road.

Aildara nodded, and gave his felloe Fae a simple message: "Follow her. And we will make certain that she makes it to Dierdre alive. Kill the Inquisitors, if there are any." He said dangerously.

The three Fae donned thier animal forms and ran within the treeline, the road just within sight. Aildara had long since ceased his hunting trips, but now he risked being seen once more.

((Is this plausible?))
