John Wheeler and the group of soldiers he was in were at a plantation. Last night many of the men had gotten badly wounded, and a few killed, in a battle. Luckily John hadn't been shot. If he had, they would have taken off his shirt to tend the wound, and found out his secret. John was realy a girl discuised as a boy, and was now at the age of 18.
Now he stood outside the house were the wounded were being taken care of. John, or Hailey her real name was, brushed his or her horse down. The white horse standing patiantly.
John saw a girl run up to the house. He raised his eye brow at the messy gold hair, and green dress.
Shacking his head, he went bak to brushing Dragon, his horse...

Elizabeth looked up again, and saw the girl. She sighed softly, and wiped her hands clean, before walking to her. "MIss, can I help you?"

"I was lost in the woods," Lilly said to the girl, "I was going to ask for a place to rest for a little while, but I can see you have your hands full." Lilly began backing away, but then an idea came to her. "On second thought, I might be able to help. I have had some experience in tending the wounded. My name is Lilly by the way."

John finished brushing down Dragon. "there." he said, then went on to his friend's horse. He and the other few that wernt' wounded out of the group took care of the horses and weapons.

Every now and then he/she glanced at the young girl that came out of the woods with curiosity...

She smiled. "I'm Elizabeth." She placed her palm on her forehead, and sighed as she looked at the soldiers. "And we could use some help.." she continued. She looked at Lily again. "...if you're sure you can be of some help" she finished

Lilly smiled back at Elizabeth. "I can help. Just tell me what I need to do." She gave her a sympathetic look. "You definitely seem overwhelmed." She looked over her shoulder and noticed young man taking care of some horses looking at her. She eyed him suspiciously then turned back to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth nodded. "Well..the main thing that's keeping these men cool in this heat is the water...which is in the barrel over there." she pointed to it. "The pitcher is next to it, along with a ladle...I assume you know what I am talking about now?" she asked.

Mary heard gunshots. Lots of them. She was really starting to hate the sound, but she would just have to get used to it, until the war was over with the British. She looked around and then got her rifle ready. She ran across the battlefield and saw a dead American soldier, with his uniform barely damaged. She looked around and then dragged him behind a tree. She took off her clothes and his, and then put his clothes on her. She hoped that she would look like a man for now.

John finnished rubbing down all the horses, and walked up to Elizabeth. "um, miss. Were could I put the 'orses? They need a rest, and I'm sure they would be glad to rest while not bein' tied to a hitchin' post." he said...

Lilly nodded. "I'll get right to it." She walked over and began ladling out water for the soldiers to drink. The men made her want to cry, Americans and British alike. She treated them all the way she would want someone to treat her brother.

Elizabeth sighed softly as she watched the younger girl. She shook her head, before turning to another soldier.
