appearance: tall, musclular, dark brown hair that often hangs in his eyes, which are also dark brown.

And just to say, since other people have been, this is what my shapeshifter character, Kimir, looks like in her animal forms.

eagle- a golden eagle
horse: bay with one patch of white on the left side of her neck
tiger: like most tigers
squirrel: a small red squirrel

Kirelasih awoke, her body sore from the nights practice. She got out of her bed, streched and then changed into an young golden brown hawk. She cawed quietly and went to go see her Lord or Lady to find out her duties for the day.

Kimir woke with a terrible start. She sat bolt upright in her bed, gasping for breath. Her blankets were a tangled mess and she carefully began to untangle herself. Once her feet were firmly on the floor beside her bed, she rubbed her eyes wearily.
She'd had a nightmare again that night. The same one that had recurred several times throught the week. Shaking it off, Kimir finally stood. Exiting the house, she shifted in a horse and trotted off. A long run would do her good. Then she would go to the Lord and Lady to find her day's work.

Lady Annalett was awake early, doing what few chores she had. Her great uncle was the emporer of Romania, and she lived in the castle with him. Her chorse done, she sat in the garden of the castle, writting the beginning of the story she had always wanted to write. 'Once apon a time...' it began. Lady Annalett didn't know what to write, though...

Five pairs of hungry yellow eyes followed him. Five lean gray bodies, famished by a long winter, slunk around him.

Unperturbed, bored even, Melreth stood in the center of the wolf pack. His stance was relaxed, but in reality his every sense buzzed. His unnerving golden eyes rested on all five wolves. He scanned the surrounding forest in his peripheral vision, wondering how many more wolves crouched in the shadows.

As one, all five wolves lunged.

Lord Caunion hung from the ceiling in a thin thread of spider silk, motionless. After hanging for a while, he descended down onto the ground. He stood there for a while and then, his black body began to lengthen with his eight leg tucking in. Scales began to form around his body as his head elongated and a forked tongue began flickering in and out. A black hood spread behind his head and he was now a cobra.

Kirelasih flew to an large white towering structure, where if you walked down the tower steps, would lead into the main chamber where the Royal Gaurd met in the mornings. She pciked up great speed as she dissended, flying swiftly until she was near the window. Right before she hit the ground she transformed herself back to an human form, though her eyes always looked like one of an snake's. She brushed of her tunic and hurriedly walked down the stairs.

Suddenly the assassin was replaced by a midnight black panther. The panther sent up a roar that shivered the treetops before launching itself into a killing frenzy. Fangs found wolf throats. Claws raked across wolf flesh.

The panther killed. The panther feasted.

Melreth was losing the battle, he knew. Formidable as his shape may be, the wolves were driven desperate by a long winter without food. Even as he fought, he noticed dark shadows slinking among the shadows outside the battlefield.

Kirelasih sensed something was wrong. She turned, bumping into an young girl, but she didn't ask for pardon. She turned herself into her wolf form and jump out the lower window, heading to the danger.

She crept quietly in the shadows. She looked out and saw an panther(you are the panther, correct?) surounded by an pack of starving wolves. She then leaped out of the bushes and landed beside him. She winked and growled at the others. She bared her teeth and growled low, challedging them.

When the wolf sailed through the air to land beside him, Melreth almost tore its throat out too. Then he recognized the wolf for what it was - a shapeshifter. From the surrounding woodlands, wolves howled. Half a dozen more leaped from the shadows.

Melreth's claws latched to a wolf's back. He dragged the lethal talons downward, severing the canine's spine.

The other wolves growled back at her, but then she howled an long, low howl. The wovles joined in, but then she snapped at them. About a dozen of them speed off and only about five where left; the orignal five. She barked and leaped, biting one's neck and snapping it. She bared her teeth again, this time with there leader's blood on them. Thhe rest of the wolves growled but when she barked again, they trotted off. She followed them all the way with her eyes until the where gone into the trees.

The panther's muscles tensed, then relaxed again. Blood stained his sides. Wolf blood. His own blood. Shifting back to his human form, Melreth offered a small bow to his ally. "You have my thanks."

Kirelasih went back to her human form, wiping her mouth on her sleeve and smiled, bowing to him. "My honor to help such an warrior." She stood up and asked, "An shapeshifter. Do you home at Wvyren's Court?" She asked.
