Avalyn then walked forward aswell,
"Count me in too."

((*BUMP*))
Meleth ducked under the flap with a sly little grin. "Do mine ears deceive me, or did I overhear the word 'plan'?"

"I'm formulating a plan," said Lana with a sly grin. "We must send out a rescue for the Vritch and I shall accompany the party that goes for I have been a...."guest" in Galias's castle before. But that leaves one problem...." her voice trailed off.
-----------
Ethen smiled brightly. "It's quite alright miss," she said addressing her more as an equal then a prisoner.

Meleth raised an eyebrow. "One problem?" she prompted, drumming her fingers restlessly on the hilt of one of her knives.
----------
Ilythiiri fell silent, and resolutely faded in and out from view, almost as though she were practicing.

Lana's grin brightened again. "Well actually many problems! Provisions, navigating through the Appaline Mountains, the upcoming battles....."
--------------
Ethen quivered. "It is so intriguing how you can do that. It makes me a bit nervous."

"Can we not hold off the battles in time?" queried Meleth. "If we move quickly, surely we can be back in time enough to prepare."
--------
"Does it?" was all Ilythiiri said. She seemed quite pleased by this, and this time faded completely before reappearing.

"I am a messenger" Koltok said. "It is my job to get places quickly and safely. I can get us through the mountain range, easily." The centaur took another step forward. "I have been there before, and the game, though not plentiful, is far from being scarce. The journey would be hard, but I believe it to be feasable."

"I am in as well. You would need a hand, would not you?" he said as he held his two swords and show it to the people around and made some moves to prove his skill on swords. "A party consists of a centaur, a Forest Nymph, an elf, a Vritch and a human rebel. We are gonna die sooner I am sure about that Galas would leave none of us alive."
Aldar said as the eyes of the surrounding creatures fixed upon him and hushed.

Lana looked at her companions gratefully. "All of you are accepted on this mission. You are all excused from any training sessions or other duties you may have. Pack lightly but as efficiently as possible. You'll need provisions, heavy clothing but we must move quickly. I will ask the Quartermaster for one wagon of supplies as we may have plenty but not enough to spare. All weapons should be mended and sharpened. Also bring light armor as it is most likely we'll be intruding upon loyalist villages and avoiding Galias's armies. Also find suitable mounts that are in good health. Avalyn can help you with that. We leave at first light. Now I must be off to inform the General of the Army. You are dismissed."

Meleth was off with a swish of the tent flap - her knives were sharpened and her bow strung already, and lying neatly folded in her tent was clothing and light armor. Kneeling to pack clothes into her saddlebags, she ticked them off on her fingers - horse, provisions, armor, weapons - and went off to find her mount Minuial.

Name: William Rebak
Race: Human
Gender: M
Age:47
Appearance: Tall man with short, slick backed silver hair.
Personality: Stern, wise and cunning but shows it through what some would say vigorous discipline, disapproves of women in the army unless they prove worthy and capable of fighting.
Occupation: General of the Army
Weapons: sword
Powers/Element: none
Loyalty: rebels
Lana exited her quarters and weaved her way through a labyrinth of tents. In the center was the tent of General Rebak, the supreme commander of the rebels. Two stern guards watched over the entrance and Lana herself had cast protective spells over the tent.
"I, General Lana of the First, Second, and Third Companies, formally request an audience with General Rebak," she said with dignity.
The guard nodded and they held open the flap of the tent for her. She entered to see an older man sitting at a desk. His hair was silver and neatly combed back. His tired dark blues eyes were scanning over reports. Without even looking up, he said, "What poor soul needs saving this time, Lana?"
She approached the desk, ignoring his comment. "I am dispatching a rescue mission, Sir, with several members of my company. We have received a message from a Vritch held captive inside Galias's palace. I formally request to accompanying them. I understand as it is I am a General I must come to you before I leave my troops behind."
“Has it occurred to you General that it might be a trap?”
“It has Sir. But I am willing to risk it. I have escaped for the Palace before if I may remind you, Sir.”
“And let me remind you Lana that our armies are headed toward the Plandin Plains for battle this coming month.”
“I’m quite aware of that Sir. But I will already be in Silcen and I can rejoin the troops there.”
“Assuming you reach Silcen.”
“I will Sir.”
“Don’t be so sure General. You often take off more then you can chew.”
“I will make it Sir.”
He sighed at her stubbornness. “Who will be accompanying you?”
“Meleth the elf, Koltok the centaur, Korinth the Vritch, Avalyn the nymph, Alder and I am considering asking along a few others. Possibly the new recruit Erkanis and perhaps even Rieltar.”
“Several of those companions are not directly in your company.”
“No but they report to me and I give them their dispatches so do I not command them? They have all volunteered to accompany me.”
“Lana, I really do not know if I can allow this all for one Vritch.”
“Sir, I remind you of the spy we received this morning for the Black One. We will be traveling much of Algoria. I plan to also find information on this foe and it’s whereabouts as well.”
He sighed and was silent for a few moments. “You would send these troops on a mission whether or not I would let you accompany them wouldn’t you?”
“I would sir. I didn’t come to ask you for permission for that, merely to notify you of it.”
“And you honestly think you must go?”
“I do Sir.”
“Well there’s no stopping you whether or not you have my authorization. You’re too stubborn.”
Lana grinned. “I am Sir.”
General Rebak snorted. “You have my consent to lead this rescue mission. Your troops will be taken to battle and you will rejoin us on the battle field no later then the first of January whether or not you succeed.”
“Thank you Sir.”
“Dismissed.”

[Am I allowed to rejoin? I sort of vanished earlier, but I have read all the way through, so I know what is going on.]

Avalyn looked down at herself, seeing what she had. She then let her arms fall to he sides, and then looked back up, everything already on her person.
"Well that was increadibly easy." She said with a very un-nymph like snort. She then turned on her heel and went off to sharpen her elven sword.

Koltok smiled. He needed no mount. He was his own transportation. He went to collect his other supplies, waving at Korinth as he exited. Korinth jogged over to his tent and quickly shoved his supplies into his bag. A visit to the stables gave him a tall horse, a dark brown, almost black mare whose coat shone a hint of red in the sunlight.

(Sure Darrell. Glad to have you back!)
Lana exited the tent. She strode briskly to the Quartermaster's station a few ways off. The wagon she was taking was laden with dark canvas cloaks, cloaks lined with bear fur, provisions, healing supplies, tools for various tasks, and extra weapons. She checked over the two steeds that would be bearing the cart and found them in very good condition. Once satisfied, she returned to her tent and inspected her weapons. She then packed in a large, leather pack. A cloak lined with white fur, bread, dried, preserved salmon and venison, two daggers, and several other useful items were placed inside.
-----------------------------------------------------
(Skipping to the next day. Anyone wanting to come who hasn’t said so please post (Erkanis, ect. ect))
At the edge of the training field, Lana waited for her rescue party. The sun was just beginning to peak from behind the mountains. Today’s first rays silently crept over the camp. The Vritch’s mount was a tall, sturdy black mare named Anarel. All was prepared; at least for Lana. The wagon waited behind her, the horses held by their human groom, who would drive it. A few extra mounts had been tied to the back; including Lana’s other mare, a dark chestnut named Phoenix. She had stored her armor, glaive, and extra saddle inside the wagon. She wore simple dark breeches with a green tunic. A leather jerkin was over the tunic as well as leather arm guards. Once again, her white hair was pulled back into a long braid. Her sword, a long and slender weapon, was at her side. Several lock picks and strengthening potions were in the pouches at her belt. She was prepared as she would ever be. But heaven knows what lay ahead.

Meleth seemed to melt out of the trees in the early dawn, her palomino mare stepping daintily and making almost no sound. They looked practically mythical - the elf's silver hair swirled enchantingly behind her and her light blue tunic and charcoal grey close-fitting breeches matched the scene perfectly.
The spell was broken when she tossed a trim little bag into the cart cotaining her light mail, mostly, and said brightly, "Good morning."
