Cat shrugs. "I know I'm a monster..... I've always accepted that..... Besides, I can do a lot of things now that I couldn't do before.... I s'pose it's a fair trade....." Her eyes lift up towards heaven for a moment, then back down to everyone else. "The things aren't seen during the day, which is why it's easier for us.....darker.....creatures to hunt them..... I have an idea of what's causing them, though...." Cat's eyes glitter, and Kin gets up and disappears behind the counter and into a very dark doorway......

Cat grins wickedly. "Me....." Kin hands her the odd-looking jar and she opens it, then holds it out towards the other two vampires. Nothing comes out, except for a wispish-looking thing that seems to be made of nothing and something, all at once.....

She did not laugh at Cat's joke, if in fact it was a joke. Noting Enyalie's sudden uneasyness, she studied the subtance more carefully. Nothing, however, could be explained about it.

" Well well. It looks to me like you have everything under control, why would you need our help?"

Cat sighs. "Are you two dense in any way?...." She shakes her head and looks at Isabel. "Look, we killed one..... We have seen at least twenty more roaming around our territory alone....."

Her voice was once again threatening and venomous, yet kept at a calm tone.

" I'd be more mindful of that tongue of your's. That's no way to ask for help, Catalina...You still have not told me what sort of threat they are to our kind."

Not that she really cared about the race of vampires, she lived for one thing alone, if you could call it a life. She admitted that it was a pathetic one, but would gladly succomb to the rays of light once her unfinished business was taken care of. As for these 'shadows', she really didn't see how it would benefit the vampires. They could rot. Mankind, however..held substinance in her eyes.

Cat sighs again. "Look, these things... I dunno how to explain it, but they eat life....." Her eyes flick to Kin, then around the room, then back to Isabel and Enyalie. "They touch anything alive and it dies..... Even vampires, although most think us dead when we're not...."
