Erik sat down on the seat in a train towards France under the English Channel. He was accompanied by four Werewolves in their bearded human form, five Vampires with their extended fangs barely visible, and three Phantoms wearing dark hoods. His human disguise was irritating him terribly, but it was a necessary evil.

Erik watched the sign that described the arrivals in the Charles de Gaulle International Airport. Though he and a good portion of the team arrived via Chunnel, some flew their way here, in case Day was planning an ambush in the stations. However this wasn't the case so Erik had to wait for the rest of his team to come.

Hailey felt a growing darkness in her mind, but had no idea what it was... She turned to an eagle to hopefully go faster... What was wrong? She flew out of London, keeping low of the storm. She went to a far city, were there were more Days than nights...

Dawn arrived in Switerzerland, she quickly pushed her way into the councill chamber "I'm sorry Oh Light ones, for abandoning my dueties in Venice and disupting the councill, but i have an urgent message. A great Night Warrior, one who holds my twin in his power, is comeing with his army to kill you here, you must flee."
"They looked at her horrifyed for a second, then a small wizend woman stood up.
"What of the Chosen One?" she asked firmly, "Who and where is she, it was you and Dusks charge to be her Guradien"
Dawn nodded "The Chosen One is called Haily, and is fleeeing to a place of refuge with many of our kind." the councill nodded, then a man stoodup, no one knew his age, he was timeless
"Those that are too old or weak must flee as the Lady Dawn advises, however i will stay here"
Many young councillors stood up with him, along side them many old and experienced warriors. Dawn bowed low and left to join Haily

Erik finally had his army together and now he began his march. He shed his human disguise away, revealing his vampric self. Fifty of his men was to go around Europe in search of potenial allies, while the rest marched on towards Switzerland. According to scouts and spies, there were apprioxmately twelve Day strongholds in the way of the Night march. The closest one was about six miles away from where they were and was guarded by only hundred warriors. Erik, who had over fifteen hundred, decided to capture the stonghold.

Erik, with his forces, came upon the first Day stronghold, which more of a deserted city than a castle. Erik gazed the high-scale buildings warily. A Day sharpshooter could pick out his men like flies. He ordered his men to form tighter groups. Then a shiny light spear was thrown from the buildings into one of his men, a Half-Demon. He snarled and hissed but he could do nothing else about the fact that he could no longer perform Night magic. Erik was both amazed and terrified. They have found a way to disable his men. More of these spears were thrown from these buildings. "Take cover!!" Erik yelled as a Werewolf fell to a light spear in front of him. "Have the fire-throwers out." Out of all the twisted weapons developed in Night laboratories and facilites, the fire-throwers were one of his favorites. A Half-Demon brought out a giant hose attached to a tank filled with naphtha. A Phantom conjured a small fire at the exposed end of the hose. Then all the Half-Demon would have to do was will the naphtha out of the hose into the buildings. Soon the buildings were scorched with an inferno. But that was only half of the buildings and half the fun. Next was the hail-blaster, which Erik brought against the other half. As Phantoms worked desperately to erect magical shields to block the light spears, another group of Phantoms and Vampires erected cannons and aimed them for the air above the buildings. Meanwhile, Werewolves, Half-Demons, and Vampires fired their automatic weapons at the Day warriors in their shelters, who responded likewise. Sometimes a Night team would raid a building, only to find it abandoned and rigged with explosives, that would often detonate soon after the team's entry. But the hail-blasters compensated for the losses. One after another, the hail-blasters fired out giant hailstones that would either shatter into million small pieces of hail or remain intact as they dropped down into grounds below. Either way, severe damage was dealt. Often the roofs would collapse under the weight of the hailstones, which was exactly what the buildings were doing.

After hours of fighting, the stronghold has been taken by Night. About 200 of Night warriors died, many more wounded, and about 150 Night soldiers were rendered useless due to the light spears. Of the 100 Day defenders, only twenty of them remained alive and captured by Night. Erik strode to meet these prisoners as his men drained blood from the useless Night soldiers to heal the wounded. "Convert them," Erik ordered a Half-Demon. "We will need more men if we are to continue this." He bowed and began to turn them. "My Lord Erik," a Werewolf called. Erik went to him and asked, "What is it?"
"My lord, the Night Elder of Europe wishes to speak with you."
"Very well, send him in."
The Werewolf placed a large disk with an opening in the middle in front of Erik. Soon the image of the Night Elder appeared from the disk. The image said, "Lord Erik, the Council and I will like to congratulate you on your victory today."
Erik bowed low and said, "It was a difficult victory. The Day has fought strongly."
"Yes, they fell to you. That is why the Council and I had decided to give more military power to you. You will have control of the Grand Night Army, formed by the foulest creatures in Europe. Your orders are to destroy the Day council in Switzerland along with any Day stronghold on your way. Reinforcements are on their way to your position. We will retain our Guards and some battalions but the majority of the Night army is your hands. Good luck, and may the moon shine on your path."
"Thank you, my lord." Erik bowed again and the image disappeared.
