Portia was already back inside the pub. She was cleaning the bar's table. She had been cleaning that same spot for at least five minutes now and the wood's color was starting to fade away. She was completely out of it. She said nothing, did the exact same movements over and over again, and she was staring into space. This wasn't like her.

Devina grinned cheekily, and waved, though followed him unseen a few meters behind in the shadows- Just to make sure he really did do it...

Jack, saunted away off into the distance.
Reaching the tavern, he walked inside. The place was still caught up in fist fights and drunken dastards, but Jack didn't mind, he was numb to these situations.
Dodging people like a snake, he glanced around, hoping to find that familiar face he knew as Portia.

Portia slowly looked down to where she was rubbing and quickly pulled her hand away, when she saw what she had done to the wood. She sighed, threw the towel on the bar and went behind it. She was angry and sad.

"Eureka!" Jack quickly hollared, then in a sudden action he appeared right beside Portia, knowing he had probably spooked her.
"Ello love!" his face grinned and his dark eyes examined her expression.

Portia gasped, when Jack appeared next to her. Her facial expressions changed dramatically, though. It went from surprised to angered. She stared at him for a few moments and then slapped him hard across the face.
"Get away from me." She hissed at him and then started walking in the back, behind the counter.

Jack stumbled backwards, and his neck twisted around to find itself peering over his shoulder. "Not sure I deserved that.."
He winced and turned back around eyeballing Portia. The cheek on the side of his face reddened around the white hand print that now decorated it.

Portia was now fuming. She went into the back room and leaned against the wall, in frustration. She didn't know what to do or think at the moment. She knew that she was just jealous of Devina. She covered her face in her hands and sighed deeply.

Since the waitres was gone, Devina lightly vaulted over the far side of the bar, and grabbed a full rum bottle, having seen the manager angrily attending the still sober guests.
Her prize clasped in her hands, she swung back over, and searched for a dark corner to sit and watch the proceedings.

Jack let his mouth open agape, so he could stretch out the tight cheek that had just been slapped.
He closed his mouth back up and then started swaggering himself around the counter as he yelled, "Portia? Portia!"

Jack saunted his way into the back room, and peeked his head around the corner, slightly cautious for he feared another slap across the face.
Finally, he caught a glimpse of her, "Eureka..I found ye.." he voiced in a sing song way.

Jack remained confused and puzzled for a few moments.
But finally, the old expression on his face melted off and changed with a new one. He had smirked and his eyes looked friendly, "Ah, I know why ye don't want to look a' me! Ye miss me ol' look!"
Of course, he was talking about that one situation where his hair had been cut, and he had been wearing some gentleman looking clothes.
