A few minutes after stretching out in her own hammock, Raven found herself drifting off to sleep. It was an uneasy sleep, flooded with strange, unfamiliar, and even downright scary dreams. The most vivid people in all of these dreams was a dark-haired elf that bore the same violet eyes as Raven, what appeared to be a dark-haired human garbed all in black, as well as a red-headed elf female, one that looked familiar enough to be Raven's mother. These three reappeared over and over and over, and by the time Raven woke, after just an hour of sleep, she knew their features, their appearance well enough to still be able to see them in her mind's eye.

So much for getting rest.. she thought crossly, folding her arms and just laying there, staring up at the wood above her head.

Tynel woke to the sound of screaching. He was emedietly awake. He snuck over to his things and grabed a knife with his good hand, and quietly walked up to the deck. He didn't see anyone. Confused, he walked over to the railing to find a pod of dolphins playing amongst themselves, screaching and smiling as only dolphins can. Ty smiled as he watched the creatures, free of any troubles of the world, playing with their friends and family, free of war and any other cares that Tynel had tried to rid himself of for all his life.

"You are lucky, you have family. No wars, no sorrow." He stared at the aquatic animals. "You are always filled with such joy I don't see how you do it. And those smiles of yours are quite amazing." He continued talking to the dolphins, who of course, did not talk back, and did not even acknowledge him.

"Do you often talk to animals?" came a voice from above Tynel, where Thyiri sat in the rigging, one booted foot swinging above the deck. "People are going to think you're odd, you know."

Tynel's head shot up, letting his layered black hair fall out of his face to reveal large green eyes.

"Well, ussally no, but I did not know I had company." He smiled at Thyiri, and then found his way up to where she sat.

"What about you? You always get up so early?" He looked at her with one of his signature smirks and a raised eyebrow.

Thyiri tossed her white-blonde hair out of her eyes, and surveyed him with violet orbs like jewels in her oddly dark-skinned face. "When one finds oneself in the company of several people one has never met," she explained, eyes now searching the horizon, "Some thinking is required. Early morning is very conducive to thought." With a touch of hesitation, she added, "Especially such a group as this one." Though she did not elaborate on her meaning, one could tell that she had been doing some very hard thinking indeed and was not entirely comfortable with her situation.

"Ah, I can see the logic behind that. So... how long have you been up here?" Tynel looked Thyiri over, her tan skin, her blonde hair that was almost white, her violet eyes, He had to admit that she was very beutiful.

Finally giving up on getting back to sleep, Raven clambered out of her hammock, hissing softly as her ankle was jarred slightly as she stepped onto the deck barefooted, and muttering something crossly, she sat down on the hammock again and reached for her boots, then pulled them on with a slight grimace. It just had to be my ankle.. she thought darkly, then sighed and stood again, and was glad there was no pain this time. Straightening her rumpled clothes, she only then decided on going for an early morning swim. Wishing she'd thought of that before putting her boots on, she tugged them off again and deposited them on her hammock, then, pulling off her coat, went abovedeck quietly, so as to not bother those who were still sleeping.

Once abovedeck, she smiled slightly as the early morning breeze ruffled her reddish hair, then tying it back with a spare piece of cloth, went to the railing and looked down at the water below. Carefully, she proceeded to stand up on the railing itself, praying her balance would hold her upright for a moment, and hold it did. Taking a deep breath, knowing the breath was likely to be knocked out of her, she then jumped quickly and dove, cutting the surface of the water cleanly.

Tynel's head snapped to his right when he heard the splash, after a moment Raven's head broke the suface and she begun to swim around. He lept to the ground, landing slightly hard on the deck, and then went over to the railing above Raven and leant over it.

"Having fun?" He looked down on her, she looked very different when her hair was wet. "I'd imagine that the water is a bit cold, am I wrong?"

"Loads!" Raven called, suddenly turning over and floating on her back, loose clothes billowing slightly in the water. Biting her lip for a moment to stop her teeth from chattering, she nodded in response to the question. "Just a little bit.."

Straightening in the water, she then submurged again, wanting to see how far she could actually swim down without having to come back up for air.

"I see." Ty then removed his boots and dived in, and came back up, gasping for breath. His hair was plastered to his head, just giving him enough room to see between his dark hair.

"Yeah, just a bit." He said sarcasticly to himself. He turned to Raven, but she was no longer there. Figuring she was diving, he waited for her to come back for air.

Thyiri gave a casual glance down. "Too cold for me," she remarked. "As to how long I've been up here," she added, looking back at Tynel, "Enough to think. And make some conclusions." She let a smile play around her lips, but did not seem willing to elaborate as to what those conclusions were.

Raven, after swimming down for a good thirty seconds, felt the pressing need for air, and, without panicking, gradually began her ascent to the surface. This ascent was impeded slightly by the weight of her clothes dragging her down, and when she finally did surface, it was with a soft gasp and sharp intake of breath.

Tynel whipped around.

"There you are! Pressing your respritory system are you?" He looked at her with an amused expression

"That's what I get for wanting to touch bottom.." she said after regaining her breath. Shaking her head and sending water flying from her dripping hair, she proceeded to fall back in the water and float on her back again.

Tynel laughed and then ducked as she shook water everywhere

"Hey! cut it out!" She just laughed and continued to float on her back. Tynel stared at her, she truly looked so much different in the water. And Ty couln't help but thinking that she was very beutiful. This scared him a little, but he payed little heed to it. She looked like someone who was happy, after a long time of being...well, not happy.

Indeed, Raven was happy for the moment, all the cares ahead of her forgotten. This was a wonderful gift to her, especially since her life in the past couple years had been very, very stressful. Closing her eyes and glad to forget this, she floated for a few moments longer, before diving down again, backwards.
