Selena smirked, she had her suspisons about Smith and Weasley, but seeing his tring to hide his reaction just made the real. "I can't wait, i have to tell Father." She quickly got out a peace of parchement and her quill, and wrote everything down that had happened on the train.

"Of all the low-lifed, half-witted...!"

Pacing up and down the length of the aisle between the seats of the compartment she and Aidan had found after their..expedious retreat from their former one, Madison reflected uncannily her relation to both her mother and grandmother..as her temper was now riled.

And despite the situation they were in, Aidan and Jacob - who had just joined the two of them in the compartment - exchanged an amused glance, which turned to a slight grimace on the former's part.

"Yes, yes, we know, Maddie...you've only repeated this ten times so far.." he found the sense of humor to mutter wryly, slouching in his seat near the window, pallor still very pale. The attack had taken a lot out of him - literally and figuratively speaking - despite the fact that the countercurse had been administered by the Hogwarts nurse, whom had conveniently been on the train..and just like her predecessor, Madam Pomfrey, she didn't inquire as to how - or why - he had come to be in that condition.

In response to the jab, Madison stopped in her tracks, glasses flashing ominously in the dim light of the compartment, and she directed a scathing look at her twin. "Don't even go there, Aidan..you lost your temper - how, I don't know - and that's what got you into this mess in the first place! If mum or dad heard about this..."

"They won't." Aidan interrupted smoothly, yet abruptly, straightening slightly. "I'm not going to tell them, and neither are you, if you know what's good for you."

"Is that a threat?" she demanded, hands on hips in a flash. "How d-"

"Hate to interrupt this lighthearted discussion," broke in a voice at the compartment's door, which was now open - with a lanky form in robes of Hufflepuff framed in the doorway - "but..I've been standing here for five minutes, and none of you have noticed me."

The speaker, Aaron Lupin, smiled mildly at the incredulous looks directed at him.

"About time you showed your face, mate." Jacob offered in a rather loud voice, overriding the renewed arguing of the Potter twins. "Prefect duties keeping you busy, or something?"

"You could say that." Aaron replied, closing the compartment door behind him as he stepped inside, taking one of the open seats near the door. "And speaking of which..are all the rumors true, then? About the fights?"

"Yep..Malfoy attacked Shade Weasley first, then Aidan here.."

Rather than a look of surprise, Aaron wore a knowing look. "No real surprise there.."

(Whew..sorry about the long post, guys..won't be posting tonight, got a friend spending the night. And btw, Anime, I created a new Slytherin you might want to check out on the first page..)

Shade just heard of Selena's recent attack. He scowled and said to Layien, "If Smith comes back asking questions, tell him I was just going to have a peaceful confrasation with the devil." He growled again and before Layien could stop him, he left the compartment and walked over to Selena, saying angerly,

"What is up with you, huh? I've tried to figure you out, but I just don't get it! Selena, stop trying to be what you will never be! You will never be as skilled a wizard as the Dark Lord, no matter how many times you try, so just stop! Like I said before, you may have hurt me and you may have hurt Aidan, but evil will never trimuph over good and you know it!"

Muria walked along the moving train, and, not seeing any open corridor, she slid open a door. It revealed nothing but a rat. Muria walked into it and shut the door quickly. She could never find a seat with someone else in it. She was a third year, and everybody hated her. 'That is what you get for keeping to yourself.' She told herself, recalling how everyone in Diagon Alley called her mysterious.
Muria sat alone on the train ride, her jagged short black hair getting in her face.
