Emily sighed deeply and looked to both of the boys. "I don't have a good feeling about it... but, I suppose that we could try." She said softly and put Maggot on her shoulder. She looked back to Victor and smiled a little to him.

Emily slowly looked in the direction of Barkis' house and then started walking toward it, seeming a little unsure of the whole situation.

Barkis, in the meantime, had tied Scraps' body to a wooden post in his house and glared at the dog. The dog's mouth had been taped shut, so it wouldn't bark at all. Barkis started pacing back and forth anxiously waiting for Victor and Emily to show up.

"This is it? All right then.." Victor walked up to the sad looking crooked building and directly to the door.
He gave a few good loud knocks then decided to straighten out his vest coat and brush back a strand that had fallen into his face.

The maggot quickly squirmed back into Emily's ear hole, "Don't worry about me. I will be in hiding." He gave a chuckle and then remained silent.

Emily shook her head at Maggot and sighed deeply. She slowly looked over to Victor and swallowed hard. She didn't like the idea of this, at all.

Barkis heard a knock on his door and then smirked, when he looked over to Scraps. "Now, whoever could that be?" He asked the poor dog and then closed the door to the room he held Scraps in. He walked to the front door and opened it. "Well, well. Victor and The Corpse Bride." He said and grinned widely to Emily.

Emily glared at Lord Barkis and then gently placed her rotting hand on Victor's shoulder, to calm him down. "Barkis... we are in search of Victor's dog, Scraps. Have you seen him around here?" She asked him, trying not to start yelling at him.

Barkis smirked at Victor and then at Maggot. "A dog? Around here? Now, that's unheard of. I'm surprised that even you three are out here." He said and folded his arms.
