Hayden looked down at the shattered CD player. He cursed and stood up, swiping the pieces off his leg.

"It's not your fault..." he said lifting his stare back to Lyn, "...it was mine."
He started to walk away, throwing the headphones off his head across the room.

"I'm Brody- Brody McCoullagh." the young man answered. "How 'bout you?"

Rhys nodded at Eva's question. "I'm just tired." he said. He put the papers down, leaned back and stretched, rubbing his eyes. "I was doing a lot of internet searching today."

Nick unsheathed one of his swords as he ran down the wall. Meanwhile the police were distracted with the hallucinations. But not the crowd. Nick sliced at a bear bottle that was thrown at him. In fact, Nick thought, if it wasn't for the fact that they did not know the extent of his powers, they would have killed him already. He wanted to fight them. All. But he knew his limits and he knew that he would be killed within minutes. He then decided to try this one. He gave some of the people in the crowd the hallucination that the surrounding people had a terrible contagious disease that had gruesome visible symptoms. It worked. The crowd immediately began to disperse and Nick was allowed some minutes of freedom.

Marsia smiled grimly as she watched the stuffed dummys of targets rise from elevated platform and laser lines appear. It was simple. She had to hit every target with her sword without her body touching the lasers. Her best record was seven minutes. She wanted to beat it.

Jackie heard Mari's shout come through on the wind, but took her time in replying. The girl had to be stopped. At the very least, there must be some limit to the range of her powers, some distance she could put people at so they couldn't be affected. The girl couldn't be all-powerful.

She increased the winds howling through the street they were in, forcing the people even further away from the vengeful mutant. Flinging her answer back on the air currents, she began lifting the whirlwind off the ground, carrying Kaylee with it. "Then don't hurt them! What did they ever do to you? Can you blame a group for the actions of individuals?"

Who are you with? she asked back, wary of almost everyone after the day's events. How can I trust you? she wondered to herself-realizing that Tai probably sensed her doubt as soon as she felt it.

Power(s): Creating and manipulating water, and flight because of her wings.
Personality/ies: Catrin is a bit wild and hard to control. She’s reluctant to learn, predominantly introvert and easily angered. Once she’s let her guard down however she can be relaxed and relatively easy; she has a sarcastic sense of humour and a somewhat rebellious streak.
Short bio(s): Catrin was named by her Welsh mother hours before she died. From then on her father brought her up, alongside her 4 older brothers who left home as soon as they could. She was never allowed to leave their secluded farm in the wood because of her wings, and her family fired names like ‘freak’ and ‘weirdo’ at her. All but the brother closest to her in age and personality. Her father taught her strictly and his routine was long and hard. Punishments came her way for no apparent reason and she was blamed for most accidents in the home. The day she got angriest was they day she left home. Her father had gone as far as whipping her this time and in her fury she flooded the whole house – a power she didn’t know she had until that point. Afraid of herself she took off, flying in to the night without waiting to see what would happen to her home or father. Alone at the age of 11 Catrin stayed hidden and was mainly active by night, searching for food and shelter, almost like an owl. But once she made the mistake of going out during the day and Tai, Raye and Mai picked her up, eventually persuading her to come to the initiative with them. She dislikes the learning side heavily though, and often rebels by flooding places and then freezing it over. In all, Catrin is a troublemaker struggling to find a place where she can be herself. The only problem is she’s not entirely sure who she is any more.
Other notes: Catrin does not take too kindly to men, as all the men she’s ever known have left or been very unkind to her. She will talk to them however but she’s normally very cold and picks out their faults rather than their good points.

Catrin wandered the streets alone, it was quiet and she was keeping to the alleys where people generally didn't go as it took them out of their way. She'd left the safety of the derilict barn, her current home, in daylight for the first time in weeks. It wasn't her custom to go out by day as the light, feathery wings on her back made her stand out from the crowd somewhat. Today however, was an exception. For the past two nights she'd been unable to find food, bar the odd scrap of something really unfit for eating, so as the afternoon began and her stomach growled fiercely Catrin was forced to go out in search.

She turned the corner, stopping abruptly as she saw three figures, two males and a female stood silently. Their eyes seemed fixed on one of the men who looked deeply in concentration. The girl seemed uncomfortable with the silence and the second man looked eager to say something, but the concentration on the other man's face seemed to hold him back. She stood for a moment watching them, for some reason they seemed different from the ordinary people she'd often see and quickly hide from. These people didn't fill her with fear and dread, although she wasn't going to run over and make friends either...

Raye had been standing rather silently for a while until he noticed something perculiar in the corner of his eye. His swifting eyes turned his gaze upon a girl standing there, glancing at the three of them. But... this girl was baring these grand wings on her back.

Raye blinked for a moment, making sure he wasn't hallucinating, and then nudged Mai without attempting to make any provoking actions towards this anomaly. He pointed towards the mutant in the distance as he gained Mai's attention but his expression remained blank, he wasn't sure whether this mutant was a threat or not - despite her angelic appearance.
