Vanya breathed a sigh of relief, glad to hear the girl was alright. "I'm fine, Michael." she replied despite her visible injuries as they went inside.

"Fine?" He asked lifting an eyebrow. "If you were 'Fine' Vanya you wouldn't be letting me carry you right now." He smiled.

Fantasia walked over and looked up at the very tall angel in front of her.

Vanya sighed knowing that he was right. She was barely able to stand on her own power, much less walk. Sorry, Michael. I should not have challenged him on my own. I do not mean to be a burden to you, she stated, sending her thoughts to him.

She smiled slightly as Fantasia looked up at them. I think you may have gotten through to her. she added.

He looked down at the girl and extended a wing to pull her close seeing as how his hands were full.

Vanya smiled back at him, somewhat comforted by his words and grateful for his strength. Her smile widened as he extended a wing to draw the girl close to him. She could see a change coming over the girl-a change that no doubt Michael was responsible for. Yes. I do think you have reached her. she told him happily.

I only hope I have. Michael said as he walked slowly toward the healers quarters. He shortened his stride so the girl could keep up as well as stay tucked under his wing.

I'm sure you have. She has not fled from your presence... Vanya replied wearily as her thoughts trailed off, her exhaustion finally taking its toll on her. Breathing in deeply, she could feel Michael's steady pace slowly lulling her to sleep.

Once inside the healers quarters Michael lay Vanya dwon on a bed. He turned to look at the girl.

Vanya stirred slightly as Michael laid her down upon the bed, but soon fell silent again as she drifted into a dreamless sleep.

Fantasia felt his eyes on her and looked up. "It's my fault... She's hurt because of me." She fell silent and looked over at Vanya. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to." She wispered. Michael knelt dwon and put an arm around her. "She will be fine... Right now you need to be taken to the king and I need to go check on your frineds."

Vanya became dimly aware of the girl apologizing to her and she longed to reassure her that the fault was not hers. Her wounds were superficial, taxing and irksome at the most, but not life threatening. Rousing herself, she opened her eyes, allowing her gaze to fall gently on the girl. “Do not let your heart be troubled,” she whispered. “This was not your doing.”

Fantaisia nodded not really hearing Vanya. She turned burring her face against Michael's shoulder. He stood gently lifting her from the floor. I'll check on the others... you get some rest. He thought to Vanya. "Alright on to see the king." He smiled and gently stroaked Fantasi's back as her tears soaked into his tunic.

Vanya slowly nodded, too drained to argue. Alright. she replied back. But do take care Michael. Adrammelech is still out there. She then let her gaze rest upon Fantaisia. "Do not fear." she told the girl gently, unsure if the teen heard anything she said. "You are safe now."
