Rena nodded.
"It's just... overwhelming... So much happening so soon. I just need to sleep on it," she said, getting up, and going to the back of the cave where she layed down...

Sorcha stepped outside the cave for a moment. Stars shone down, hard and clear in the cold night air. Standing for a moment longer, she shivered in the cool breeze, then stepped back in and sat down by the fire.
"I can't remember if I introduced myself or not." She said to Mirrim, smiling. "I'm Sorcha. Etain's my pegasus- he's the dark brown one."

Emmeline got up. It seemed as though everyone had put their magic into their eggs. She looked over the new crowd.
"Ok. You need to sleep. By the end, you will be missing it." Emmeline said, her voice carrying around the cave, "I'll take first watch. And please, I am not joking...sleep."

Airithnu stood and walked over to Emmeline, smiling slightly. "I have been doing too much sleeping lately. Might I stay up with you, on your watch? I could keep you company." Airithnu suggested, shrugging.

"I don't like to sleep," Adillya muttered to herself as she moved to a dark corner of the cave and sat with her knees folded up against her chest, "It involves having to close your eyes."

"That would be appreciated." Emmeline smiled warmly. She needed company. The last couple of days had been horrible, tormenting even.
"I know this is probably a huge burden for you. You don't know how much we are grateful."

"Mirrim," said Mirrim, a smile ghosting briefly across her features and disappearing. "Twygrin's the wyvern, he's so kind as to carry me."
Once more she glanced round the cave, at somber figures illuminated halfway by flickering firelight. "Responsibility weighs heavy, I see," she murmured, meeting Sorcha's eyes momentarily. "I cannot say I have experience in these matters."

Sorcha glanced around the cave as well, nodding. "I didn't have experience either, when I first joined the Chosen. I still don't know why I was summoned. I was just fumbling for my way when we set out." She half-shrugged and grinned. "I think that's all I'm doing most of the time.
Stop it, Sorcha. She told herself. Mirrim's probably tired, and doesn't want to hear about your life story.

Airithnu walked over to Emmeline and smiled, sitting down beside her to help keep watch. "A burden? No." Airithnu said, shaking her head. "I have been alone for a while now...the company will be good and it is an honor to be Chosen!" She said, smiling slightly.

"It is an honor." Emmeline said, smiling, "Crymson must have had a reason to choose us. It's been challenging, but I am glad to do it."

Adillya covered her mouth to prevent anyone who may be watching her from seeing her yawn. She began to obtain droopy eyes, but Adillya still would not go to sleep. She had grown accostumed to not go to sleep without Bry, who had not arrived back at the cave yet.
Slipping further and further into sleephood, Adillya finally picked herself up and strolled to the front of the cave spending as much time in the shadows as she could obtain. Hoping no one saw her pass by, she walked outside into the dark. Pausing, she had to recieve a little more sense in wanting to go further. The cold air wrapped around her, and Adillya had to break free of it and proceed further. Looking into the sky, Adillya could see nothing but blackness and a few stars. This is going to be one long night, she thought to herself as she sat down and leaned against the outside of the cave, a really long night. With this, Adillya waited on Bry's return.

Illyanna watched Zero for a long time before going back into the cave. She put her harp away and climbed into her saddle. "I'm going to go out for a while. I'll stay close, but this is the time Shander usually hunts." She explained.
Shander turned being careful of his ridder and the others in the cave and lept from the ledge. It was good to feel the wind under his wings again.

Zero didn't feel like sleeping. And since everybody was outside of the cave, he might as well go in. Before anybody says anythign else, he said, "I'm just going to enjoy my last night of solitude. Tomorrow, I swear I'll try to be good friends and a good companion to you all." He tried to keep sarcasm out of his voice... he tried...
Then he walked into the cave. It looks better when it was darker. He liked the look of it. It looks much less menacing in the dark. He could revel in the darkness, would thrive in it. Then his gaze fell across Firis. He felt an urge to comfort her.
He didn't know why. It surprised even himself that he wanted to comfort somebody. But he'd never comforted anybody in his life, and he didn't know from where to approach. Maybe it was because of her dragon.
He told himself to forget it and go on directly. He quietly said, to no one in particular, still watching the flames in the fire, "My mother was sacrificed too. She was half dragon, but she looked a human, except was stronger and could use magic. We were in a rural village in Europe, and it was one of those villages that are basically preserved from the Dark Ages. It was there my mother bore me, and-" He closed his eyes, "She sacrificed herself to keep me alive. Others can share your pain, you know, and they can also help you with it."
He fell silent after that offer that he would help. He was happy to get one secret out at last. Zero didn't even care if anyone even listened. But it felt good to relieve himself of some, even the slightest weight, of his burden that he carried.
Not prepared to listen to anyone else until morning, Zero wrapped his wings around himself and tried to sleep.

Airithnu nodded. "I am excited to do someone worthwhile in my life...and to be with people again. I mean, you at least have an animal to keep you company...I just change into them." She grinned, looking at the ground. "I have been alone for a while, but it will be good to do something to help this group...and the dragons."

Talyn, Tiernan thought, go an hunt. But stay close, I'll call you when we are leaving. Wake me if you see anything important that you can't deal with yourself. That was unlikely, as not many things liked to tangle with a bird the size of a large house, but a dragon might.
With that uncomfortable thought in his head, Tiernan turned to the others, most of whom were outside at the moment, "G'night all. Wake me when we're leaving."
With that he lay down and nearly instantly fell into a dreamless sleep, the best kind. He had learned this trick a long time ago, being able to fall asleep whenever and where ever he needed too; it was useful then and still useful now and probably would be useful for most of the rest of his life.

Rena hadn't fallen asleep right away, laying at the back of the cave. She listened for awhile, and even heard Zero's story. Then it his her.
What if all of us here had a sad story? Of loved ones lost, or lives of solitude? Then we can help each other, she heard Granit reply in her head. The horse was just outside the cave, nibbling on some grass.
Hm... Rena thought, before she drifted into a deep sleep, full of sad dreams...
