As her lungs started to fill up with air thanks to Gareth's assistance, the blue coloring on Calista's lips slowly started to fade as the woman gradually drew in deeper breaths. After about five minutes passed, a soft groan escaped from Calista's lips as her fingers twitched slightly and her eyelids began to flutter.

Moaning softly again, Calista managed to only open her eyes to a slit and even doing that proved to be difficult. "Ro..." she mumbled her sister's name before drawing in another shuddering breath and coughing. "What-what....haaapennned? she croaked. The last thing she remembered were knights approaching her before everything went black. "Was...was anyone...hurt-?" she asked hoarsely, clearly worried for everyone except for herself.

Forcing a thin smile, Darius could only shake his head. Sure he had a few cuts but the only people that were physically hurt were the attacking knights and her, and his mind Calista needed to rest before Rosalina worried herself all the more.

Calista frowned slightly when Rosalina remarked that Darius received some minor cuts, knowing that she was to blame for his being hurt. "He-he should have that looked too..." she murmured softly as her lashes started to flutter and her eyelids began to droop, the effort to speak clearly taxing on her.
Hearing another voice in the room, Calista forced her eyes to remain open as she glanced about. The voice sounded so warm and yet so familiar though she could not quite place it. As her glazed blue eyes slowly scanned the room and her gaze fell on Gareth, the memory clicked in place. "Ro...is...this he...?" she whispered. "The one who...helped me before?" she added, wanting her sister's conformation. If so, she knew that she had to find some way to thank him for his kindness.

Darius nodded at Gareth's question. "There is a wagon in the stables. Do you think it is safe to transport her so soon? If so, I can ready the wagon and the team if you will bring her out."

Rosalina glanced at Gareth. 'Yes, and he is the one who helped defeat the knights and helped you to breath just now." she told her sister.

"Truly?" Calista whispered, a bit surprised at all that he had done for them...especially for her. "Then...I am even more... in his debt," she whispered. And I do not even know his name, she thought to herself. "I wish there... were some means...I could repay him," she managed to force out.

Darius nodded. "All right, I will get the wagon and ready the team of mules," he remarked before turning and walking to the women. "Rosalina, my love, make sure yours and your sister's belongings are ready. We are going to leave this area soon," he remarked before kissing her lightly on her forehead and then then turned to leave to the room to pack a few things and ready the wagon for departure.

Giving Rosalina a weak smile at her words, Calista could only sigh, hating at how weak and useless she was. She should be able to help her younger sister pack, not depend on her for everything. Turning her attention to Gareth, then, she gave him a warm smile and weakly motioned him over to her. At the very least she needed to thank this man for all that he had done for her. "You have...done so much...for me already..." she croaked and had to pause to draw in a deep breath before speaking again. "And yet I...do not even know your name... she said weakly. "I wish...to repay you...for your kindness..." she added her voice trailing off.

Rosalina sighed and moved a bit back as Gareth came and knealt at the bed.

Calista gave Gareth a weak smile at his words. "Thank you, Gareth," she whispered. "I will always...be in your debt..." she added weakly as she drew in another sharp breath, the effort to speak wearing her out.

Once he had packed a few things, Darius gathered the wagon and then led the mules from the stable and hitched them to it. After tossing his bag inside, he walked back into the guestroom and gave Rosalina a gentle smile, yet his smile turned to a look of puzzlement as he saw Gareth and Calista a bit close though there was nothing improper in the man or woman's conduct. Picking up Rosalina's and Calista's bags, he then turned toward the small group. "The wagon is ready," he said simply.

Gareth nodded. He lifted Calista gently as if she was a glass doll, and carried her out to the wagon, placing her in the back.

Calista sighed softly as Gareth lifted her gently from the bed. She could not even remember her own husband even being this tender with her before. Whenever he carried her, all he did was toss her over his shoulder and then fling her on the bed before proceeding to his rough passion play which in many ways felt more like a ravishing that left more scratches and bruises on her body. "Thank you," she whispered to Gareth once again as he set her down in the back.

After placing the bags in the back of the wagon, Darius turned to Gareth. "Have you a safe place in mind?" he asked the mage. If not, he had a safe house they could go to, but that would be a last resort since it had not been used for a while and had fallen to disrepair.
