Liz walked over to Keira, to help her load the canons or to shoot whenever they came close enough. They'd now left the bay and making more speed. "Keira.." she addressed her friend, "Do ye think we're going to fight this battle here..? Or will Pierre try to avoid a fight and look for more allies?"
She had unpleasant feeling...Something would go wrong, even as things looked good for them now..

Aer turned the Amaris slightly more into the wind, 35 egrees to be eact, five more and they would stop, but this way they caught the strongest wind and went the fastest they could safely.

The crewman of The Poseidon's Cutlass boarded Nemo while The Dragon's Claw retaliated with rapid cannonfire, covering their retreat. The Amaris's sails caught the wind and the sleek caravel zoomed with astounding speed out to the open sea.

"Captain Redbeard'll have my head for that," Pierre muttered, glancing at The Poseidon's Cutlass's damaged mast. His steely eyes softened when he looked at Lily. "Our route? The open sea, love. But I got a safe haven waiting at the Philippines."

Lily smiled, "What can I do?" She felt like she needed to do something, she wasn't a queen any more and she loved the feeling. Now she just needed to start acting like a pirate.

The Darkcoats on the Nemo showed absolutely no mercy to the pirates. They fired round after round at the boarding pirates. They threw naphtha bombs and grenades at the pirate ship while they attempted to repel the pirates out. So far, including the mast, the Darkcoats managed to blow some of their cannons. The Poseidon's Cutlass was going in either two directions, towards the Darkcoat harbor as a prize or the bottom of the ship as a wreck.

Aer grabbed a boy and sent him up the mast "Land Ahoy" he yelled. Aer quickly looked at a map. It was the Phillipennes, she could just make out the smoke from the battle behind them but nothing else. She started makeing course fro the land.

Pierre just shook his head and continued watching the battle even as they drew farther and farther away. Even The Dragon's Claw was on full retreat, trying to get as far away as possible. His eyes remained fixed on The Poseidon's Cutlass. Her crewmen began jumping ship.

Three seconds later, the ship exploded.

Flames erupted all along its oil-slicked sides. Fire completely engulfed the suicide ship, taking down all ships in its general vincinity. As screening smoke descended over the bay, the other two pirate ships made fast their retreat.

"Land?" Pierre muttered with a roguish grin. "You know how to read maps, love?" he directed at Lily.

Madyski watched as the Poseidon's Cutlass bursted into flames. His primary concern was the Nemo, which emerged with its entire port side deck charred with a blackened side. Water was beginning to enter the comprised hull. It is only through fate that the ship had not capsized immediately. Still, it would be unable to commence pursuit. Back on the Kraken, the sharpshooters were picking out the remaining crew of the Poseidon's Cutlas, shooting them in the knees and elbows, which disabled their ability to swim and made them targets for sharks. Just then, a crash could be heard, as the Nemo capsized into the water. Madyski ordered, "Get lifeboats out there!! Rescue whatever remains of the Nemo crew. The rest of the ships, destroy the pirates." As all of this was going on, King Erik watched with a burning anger in his heart.

Lily nodded, "Yes, I can do that. One of the things I was taught and thought I'd never need because it was likely that I'd never get off Sarawak." She smiled, "But that has changed now. We're heading to the Philippines right? I'll do my best to get us there. The maps in the cabin?"
