Jack wrinkled his nose as she took his rum and then carefully took it back from her. He leaned in towards her,"Thank you very much Alex..."

Kayala frowned,"If anyone remembered us, then they'd probably be on their way towards World's End right now..." She turned to Edward,"We'll have to wait a while for them to come though. I'm pretty sure nobody's forgotten you Edward."

Edward pushed the rock crab away gently with his foot before looking slowly up at Norrington. "Aye... but that doesn't mean they'll go to World's End. Probably better off without me anyway." He lowered his gaze and closed his eyes. Vari had probably already found someone else by now and was regretting ever meeting him. He then looked at Kayala with a little bit of hope. "Ye think so, mate?"

Vari scrunched her eyebrows, studying Carmon carefully. "Your fault? Carmon, it's not your fault he's gone an' don't ever think it is."

Richard looked at the ocean felt a smile creeping onto his face. "Hey Cole, ever see the flash of green?"

Joanna Morgan placed one of the heavy crates down on the dock and wiped the sweat from her brow. Her blue eyes turned towards the shore, where she saw some new arrivals coming off a well-kept ship. Making her way over, she greeted Lotty politely, "Hello, Miss. What be it you're in need of?"

She leaned in slightly as well so that their faces were mere milimetres apart. Her heart rate quickened to be so near him. "You're very welcome, Captain." She kissed him hesitantly, hoping earnestly that she was not too bold.

James stepped back a little as the two began talking. He really had no place in the conversation anyway. The conversation had brought up memories of many painful things about his past life in the Real World. He wondered if anyone was really missing him, his family, any friends? Anyone? He sighed and started walking down the beach away from the other two.

Carmon looked away from Vari and down at the black railing. She knew Vari was trying to make her feel better, and maybe she was even right, but it didn't seem to help much. "But, Vari, it is." she sighed, "if it hadn't been for me, he would’ve never left Lotty or the Grey Dream to help me out."

"huh?" Cole stared back at Richard with a puzzled look on his face. "what's that got to do with anything?"

Charlotte smiled as she noticed someone coming to her, "Hello, me and my crew just need some supplies," she glanced back at her ship for emphasis. "I'm sure ye must have what we need 'ere."
(ummm, do Joanna and Lotty know each other? I forget!  )

hmmm, Lord Beckett glanced back at the now tiny figures behind him, before looking up at the burning sun and muttering something under his breath. Everything was beating down on him and reflecting on him. It felt like being in a huge stove, or at least to Cutler it did. He wasn't used to being out in the sun for hours on end during a hot day like this. He was beginning to feel rather lonely in this barren land as well, and only one face was coming to his mind. huh, there he was thinking about her again!

Kayala grinned,"I'm pretty sure Edward." She looked towards James and called after him,"James!!! I'm sure noone's forgotten you either!!! I'm sure there are at least some people missing you out there!!! James please come back here!!!" Kayala sighed and murmured,"Did I say something wrong?"

Jack blinked, rather taken back by the rather bold kiss Alex gave him. He wrapped his arms around her waist, slowly starting to kiss her right back. What are you doing Jack? What are you doing... I hope you are doing the right thing... he thought.

Alex relaxed and slid her arms around his neck as he returned the kiss. She realized that she enjoyed the feel of his arms around her. When the kiss ended, she glanced up at him silently, unsure of what to say. Should I just tell him? she wondered to herself.

Jack looked away, silent, also unsure of what to say. He looked back at her, wondering, Alex...do you feel the same way about me? I want to know...but I'm afraid to ask...

She caught the same nervous look in his eye that she felt. The irony of the situation struck Alex. It brought a smile to her lips. We've both braved impossible odds and nearly certain death without flinching, and here now we are too afraid to say three simple words. She decided to speak. "Jack...I don't know if the feeling is returned, but I'll just say it. I love you."

"Then know this love. I love you too." Jack said. He tried to smile at her, but the attempt failed. His heart now beat twice as fast, his longing for Alex to be close to him was twice as strong. This time, Jack found nothing else to say, but this was never unusual... What else should I say?!?! What?

Edward raised an eyebrow at Kayala, looking her over with interest. Her efforts were truly genuine, but sometimes she could get a bit carried away. Shaking his head, he suppressed a laugh before starting to follow Norrington. “Come on!” Edward quickly caught up with the ex-commodore and walked backwards so he could see James’ face. “Thought we agreed we’d get out of here together. No use in leavin’ us behind,” he said, motioning to himself and Kayala. “Somethin’ wrong?”

Vari eyed Carmon carefully. “What’s the use of placin’ the blame on yerself, Carms? Everythin’ happens for a reason, mate, trust me. Fate has a weird way of making things work out, but once we get to the Locker and find Cole I’m sure everythin’ will be okay again.” She smiled as best she could, hoping that they would reach their destination soon.

“Well, they say when the green flash occurs, it means a soul has returned… an’ if that’s the case, there must be a way out of here,” Richard replied, pacing back and forth in the warm sand. A puzzled expression passed over his face. “We’ll just need to find it.”

“I’m certain we do. But if you’ll be kind enough to wait here a moment…” Joanna smiled before walking down the beach to where Keyara was sitting. “Miss Pierce, if you’ll so kindly help out a customer…?”
Keyara nodded and stood up, following Joanna back over to where Lotty stood. Upon seeing the woman in front of her, she stopped in mid-stride and stared. Keyara had known her long ago, back when she was still spending her days in the East India Trading Company, alongside Lord Beckett… And then the memories began rushing back. Even after he betrayed her so cruelly, how could she still feel this way about him? Some part of her was still attached to him, even through all of the heartache and pain; even after all of this time, she would still catch herself thinking about him whenever she looked at the horizon, remembering all too well the final battle of the Pirate Lords that took place and destruction of the Endeavour which ensued. Her mind traveled back to that day, reliving the events. She had been pulled down into the rowboats by Lieutenant Groves as he commanded the men to abandon ship. That was the last she ever saw of Lord Cutler Beckett.

Kayala scrambled to catch up with them, head downcast, seeming rather upset. She looked at James curiously,"What is wrong James? Did I say something wrong?" She put her hand on his shoulder, wanting to comfort him.
