Before Dax could answer Strider, Eavan dropped to her knees, shaking, eyes closed. Dax rushed over and pulled to her a sitting position, "Easy now," she said in her reassuring healer-ish way, "Take a deep breath, there you go."
The healer started her diagnostics in her head as Eavan's breathing became normal. She seemed to be in mild-state of shock or something close, for the fact she was freaked, staring at the ground. Dax swung her pack down from her back and pulled out some herbs, sorting through them until she found the right mixture. One was just a simple calming herb, one helped eased breathing to a mild extent, but there was a rarer leaf, one with a blueish tint, then caused sudden clearness of the mind and eased strong emotions. It seemed like the best choose, since tears were streaming down her face like a waterfall.
"Chew on these," she commanded firmly, but gently, pressing two fingers into the girl's wrist to a pluse, "They'll help."

Strider was right behind Dax. He went beside Eavan and kneeled down, holding Eavan's shoulder steady. The shaking was uncontrollable. "What happened?" Strider asked, mostly to Eavan, but some to Dax to.

Stroaking Sifa gently, Amaran took in the scenery. it was nothing spectacular- a couple trees, fields of grass, a small stream- but the sights were calming all the same. A fresh breeze blew woody scents through the air. "Gorgeous day" Amaran grinned, looking over to Eaven. His grin faded as he watched her fall to the ground. He grasped at her arm, trying to break her fall, but pulled away with a surprised yelp. He had grabbed her exposed arm, but it was unnatturally hot for human flesh. He stood in shock as the girl shook. "What's wrong?" He asked, as Dax tended to Eaven. Even as he spoke, Eaven seemed to regain her sences. She opened her eyes; were they yellow? No, her eyes were blue, but tears streamed from them and she looked pale. Amaran grasped her hand, which was no longer hot, and squeezed it. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Eavan stared at the ground, almost to shocked to move. She felt a hand on her shoulder, steading her, and she heard Dax's voice in the distance - her senses would work, but she was so out of it, she didn't want them to.
Not until she felt someone grip her hand.
She turned and looked up, for the first time in what seemed like hours, into the face of Araman. He was squeezing her hand gently, asking her if she was alright. Then, everything became clear. She could hear clearly, breathe completely normal, think straight. She didn't want to take her eyes off Araman, but she squeezed his hand back, nodding, before she looked at Dax, never letting go of his hand. She looked at the herbs and shook her hand.
"No...." She said, her voice a little shaken, "...No. Don't waste such precious herbs on me. They are too rare. It was just the sudden shock...I will be fine. I promise." She told her, trying to smile, but failing miseribly. (Sp?) She still shook a little, but not as harshly as before. The thoughts came back from what she just saw, and she shuddered.
Why did they do this to him?

"They are my herbs to waste, but if your sure..." Dax answered lower her hand. She saw her shutter again. "What happened?"

Vondell's mind had wondered off to some other place and time while they walked. He was pulled out of this daydream when Eavan suddenly collapsed. The bard came close, but behind the others who circled around the wolfen. He didn't want to be a bother, not knowing much of healing and such. For a second there, were her eyes yellow? No, it must have been just his over-active imagination.
Von watched intently the exchange between the group, noting Eavan's iron grip on her necklace. He made a mental note to ask her later about it. Maybe it had something to do with that.
"Are you okay enough to continue? We shouldn't play in one place for too long," he said in his fluid voice. Nelnya, with a very worried chirp in Eavan's direction, landed on Von's shoulder. She rubbed her wedge-shaped head on Von's cheeck. In turn, the bard stroked her small neck reassuredly...

Strider leaned down close to Eavan's face, leaning over so his mouth was by her ear. "Your kidding yourself saying it was "the shock" that got to you. Tell - the - truth." He said firmly.

Forcing down the urge to glare at Strider for using such a harsh tone, Amaran muttered. "We should find out what "the shock" is before we dismiss it."

(( Sorry guys.. I've been working past two days so I didn't have the time to check on this. But nice twist Turie ))
Tristan heard the sound of Eavan dropping in the grass, followed by worried cries of his fellow companions. He didn't needed to sight to understand what was happening for he knew that something was very wrong with Eavan. He remained on a distant as the others ran over to help her, he couldn't do anything anyway.
It was her brother, he realised. Where they using him to get to her? Probably. There were many devices they used to get to their prey.
Tristan snorted as he heard them talk of shock and quietly said. "As Eavan says she will be fine it would perhaps be better to leave this place and make camp in the forest, whatever just happened. It's just over this hill.."

Eavan was overwhelmed when everyone started to talk at once. She agreed with Tristan, they should make camp and eat before she start telling the tale to all of them. And when Strider spoke, she felt the same heat flow inside her veins, but this time it wasn't really there, but caused by anger. Deep, deep anger. Not letting go of Araman's hand - never wanting to let go - she turned to Strider, her eyes cold and heartless...
...and red in color.
"You.dare.not.speak.to.me.like.that.again." She spat, her words coming out slowly. She began to shake again, as she contiuned. "I indeed have a tale to tell, and if you want to here it, you will need to live until after we make camp and eat. So, if you want to do that, then I suggest you shut up!" She finished, turning her back to him. She blinked twice, and her eyes were blue again, but Eavan had no idea that they just changed color. What she did know was that she suddenly felt very, very tired, and she was almost positive she couldn't stand.

As there was no reply to Tristan's proposal but only a response to Strider's words, he sighed. This was a waste of time. Somewhere between their nice chat and Eavan's sudden attack, or whatever it was, the athmosphere had changed. Tristan felt a sudden threat looming in the air.
He walked over to Amaran and tapped his cane against his knee to force him into action.
"Amaran, help her up. Honestly Eavan, can you walk? For we're here to help."

Von stayed back still, not wanting to be in the way. Then Tristan offered to make a camp, and Eavan agreed.
"I'll go ahead and see if I can find a spot to camp not far from here," he announced, and ran ahead. He did this more to get away from the friction that was starting to grow, though he didn't really want to get away. He wanted to see everything that happened.
After a few paces around a bend in the road, he took a few paces off the road. With a quick glance in every direction he stepped back onto the path and went into the forest a few paces ahead and on the other side. Here he found a nice clearing out of sight from the road thanks to and old hollow tree. Von checked the area around it too, and found a small creek they could use for water if needed.
Vondell ran back to the others.
"There's a clearing not far from here thats hidden from the road by a hollow tree. And there's a creek by it as well. It's just up the path and into the forest a few feet," he said quickly...

This time Amaran was sure. Her eyes had changed color, not to the yellow-gold of the animal kingdom, but to a vibrant, angry scarlet. She spat her words with a fury that could be felt in the air. Somthing was definatly not right. When he felt a sudden tap on his leg, and Tristan's demand to get her up, he couldn't agree more.
"Eaven, we need to get up. Vondell has just found a campsight. " He was speaking as gently as he could. Eaven's eyes had changed back to their original blue, and she no longer exuded an angy aura, but Amaran didn't want to put anything at chance. Gasping her arm, he smiled meekly. "Up on three, alright? One. Two. Three!" He tugged a limp body. Was she sleeping? No, her eyes were open, but exhaustion had colored her face a sickly grayish hue. Swearing under his breath, Amaran sorted through the possibilities.
One stuck out in his mind. "She can't walk, I don't think." Resting his ching in his hand, he came to a decision. "Um, just stay there." He told the rest of the group. Don't mind me." He began to disrobe. "I'm a shapeshifter, so I figure I'll shift to horse shape, and carry her. Um, take my clothes, if you would. I'll need to change back into them." He felt little, if any, embarresment about being naked in front of other people. Animals were naked all the time, and they felt no shame. Pulling Eaven's figure over his back, however, brought a little blush to his cheeks. He did his best to hide it. He shifted slowly to ensure Eaven wouldn't fall. His arms and legs grew long, covering themselves in coarse dark red-brown hair. His neck lengthened and grew, his face exteneded. Body parts shifted thier positions. Slow shifting was enough to make the strongest man uneasy, if not sick. Amaran finished, noting that no-one he could see appeared too ill or disgusted, he looked to Vrondell, as if to say, "Show us the way"

Von took Amaran's cloths, keeping his eyes averted for the man's privacy. But he couldn't help but watch the he changed into a horse. He felt his stomach turn a little, but was intruiged by the transeformation. It was something he had never seen before.
He watched with jaws agape at the brown horse that now stood before them with Eavan on his back. He paused for a moment, then slowly nodded approval.
"Alright, follow me," he said, turning and walking towards the clearing he had found earlier...

Strider did not back down. "And you do not speak to me like that, Eavan. You chose me to come on this trip, no matter how happy you were, and I came. All I intend is to help you. Give me your harshest words, whatever you want. Just don't forget why you need help!" Strider said, just as harsh. He turned to Amaran. "You need not worry about me, I mean her no harm." My intentions are good, however they may be read. He thought, for he was sure someone, or something in there group could read thoughts or something.

"Well that's an eyeopener" Tristan mumbled when Amaran announced his real identity. A shapeshifter he thought. And he couldn't avoid that images popped up in his mind of only a few years ago.
It was dark, a pitch-black night. Clouds covered the moon and stars but Tristan couldn't have seen them anyway for they crawled through the high grass in a forest. He and the rest of their group. Armed with swords and bows they'd left their post a few days ago. Their orders were to find the camp of the shapeshifters for they were hiding Wolfens. They had to find them and kill the rest. One of them threw a burning torch onto their tents so that all of them would come out. Then everything became a blur to Tristan. He was pulled with the others into the camp..He heard the screams of women and children, some transformed into animals and escaped.. The commander shouted his name threateningly, Tristan was forced into action and then he killed..
Tristan's face had turned white, white as snow. Luckily no one seemed to notice for all watched Amaran. "I shall not peek I promise." Tristan said jokingly, hoping that others didn't notice him, groping into the air for the clothes, which were eventually taken by Vondell.
