Illeran's enthusiasm at swearing increased vehemently as he watched the battle. Now what was he going to do? Could he let his captain die? How would that be to his advantage? Or perhaps aide Blackbird? How much would it benefit him to keep up the game? One thing he knew for certain. If he did not stop this, his career - not to mention all the gold that idiot Barbossa had promised him - would be ruined.

Casually he sidled over to the pirate nearest him, who was chewing an apple and polishing his gun. With perfectly timed precision, he knocked the man's gun up and bashed him over the head. The man went down, but not before his finger tightened on the trigger. The shot clipped Barbossa squarely in the temple (he's undead remember). Barbossa, caught by surprise, swayed on his feet. At the same time Illeran kicked a bottle of rum and sent it rolling towards Blackbird. It came spinning right towards her, aimed to knock her off balance and - if he was lucky - off board.

Illeran groaned as he watched Jack make a grab for the rolling barrel. Another explosion from a cannon rocked him back on his feet. One of Barbossa's crew appeared before him, leering in his face and stabbing at him with the cutlass. Illeran spun, blocked the blow from the cutlass, and bowled the man over trying to get to Barbossa.

Barbossa lashed angrily at Illeran.
"You'll hear more from me, matey!"
Jack (the monkey) squeaked at his shoulder, and jumped up and down seeming to enjoy the whole thing.

((I was working, today, 9:30 am - 1:30 pm. Then I went out to linch with my Parents, then chores. And then I am going to an Xmas party later. And tomorrow I am working 9:30am - 5:30pm. And I get an hour if my parents around, I go over if they are not.))

Eliza nodded to Devina, then with a loud shout, she ran towards Barbossa. "Barbossa!! I dare you to fight me!!"

Illeran groaned inwardly. This was going to be a long duel. He might as well enjoy himself. Seating himself on the deck of the ship and oblivious to the chaos around him, he placed his cutlass across his lap and settled down to watch.
