Knyn greeted Turwaithiel with a bow. Straightening, he muttered, "We may have a need to leave now." No sooner had those words left his mouth than a second deathly cold wind howled from the mountains. Clouds blotted out the moon, emphasizing the darker shapes moving in the surrounding forest.

"Shadow imps," Knyn breathed.

"Hannon 'le, Mellon. You have saved me from doom, my friend." he said gladly, taking her hand and kissing it. He rose, and dressed himself (him being only in his underloins!) he donned his robe once more, with more than one flinch of pain, and looked into the sky. he sighed. "I- may need a staff of some sort, my friend" he nodded to Turwaithiel, "would you be kind enough to salvage a dead tree branch for my weak bosy to lean on?"

Raelin continued walking towards the camp fire to see the mage sitting upright. he laughed silently. Then he flung the deer down next to the camp fire. "I got some food.. if anyone's interested.."

Knyn looked at Raelin. "Glad you got us food. I think we need to leave rather quickly though." He moved to the edge of camp, where he began saddling their horses.

Turwaithiel took off an branch and smooth it with her dagger. "It is strong and will do you proudly." She said, smiling and thanking both Kyrn and the mage for htere respect.

Raelin stepped closer to Knyn.. "Why can't we just fight the things that are chasing us? Come on.."

Knyn nodded ascent. "My lady, would you mind riding ahead with the mage to the mountains? We'll catch up with you."

Ralein grinned at the mage showing his fangs.. Finally, they would be doing something that he wanted to do from the start... kill...

Knyn hefted his greatsword and started off into the dark woods. Shadows enveloped them in perpetual gloom. In the darkness, more of these diminutive shadows flitted around. He glimpsed flashes of crimson eyes and gleaming fangs.

They had barely scouted out a hundred feet before the things attacked.

Shrieking, the shadow imps leaped out from the sheltering underbrush, swarming over them by numbers alone. Knyn swung Mortality at one. The ebony blade contacted a shadow imp in a spurt of misty darkness. The imp uttered a single long keen before it dissipated.

"just for you sweetheart." he said jokingly to Turwaithiel.. then turned and galloped after Knyn into the forest.

"Thank you, hun." She said, grinning before she and the mage took off in the other direction.
