Wolfe discreetly flipped on his radio so Erin and Adam could hear everything transpiring. He held his assault rifle out in plain sight and slowly walked around to the confined space, taking stock of the situation.

"Who are you?"

Adam turned down his radio a bit so he could still hear what was going on, but the other man couldn't hear it and know there was someone else outside. He crept to the opposite side of the hatch as Erin, staying back a few feet and hidden in the underbrush. He carefully watched for any land mines.

Erin held her breath, which she had been careful to make very shallow and inaudible, and listened intently. The safety catch on her handgun was off, but she would only get one shot...and as Wolfe spoke, she used the temporary disturbance of the ominous stillness to inch forward again.

"It has no meaning"

Lazlò said and gazed quietly at Wolfe, he might as well gain the answers from him.

"Tell me why are you here or she will pay for your lack of words!"

Shade tried to tell him it was a trick, but she couldn't speak. She hated this man right now...hated him.

Erin hurriedly came forward another few feet, and carefully brought her gun up in front of her. Just a little further and she would be able to get a good shot at the man holding Shade - she hoped Wolfe would pick up on her plan and distract him enough to give her time.

"Your loss, your stupid mistake to ever set foot on this island will kill you all"

He clearly did not seem to give a damn about the information any more nor his life.

"I beg to differ." Came Erin's voice, just above and behind the man. The gun was out and pointing at his head. "I swear, if you shoot her the first thing I'm going to do is put a bullet through your head. Put Shade and the gun down slowly, please, if you value your life."

Lazlò gazed at the one speaking behind him and grinned.

"Your beg to differ because you don`t know what awaits you, but fine..."

He said and pushed Shade forward while tossing the gun away, he simply sat down quietly and began to stare at the released Shade and Wolfe.

"So now that I am at your mercy you may as well tell me why you have come to this god forsaken island"

"We may as well do nothing of the sort. Shade, pick up his gun and climb out of there," commanded Erin. She was very calm, and the gun pointed unwaveringly at Lazlò. "Wolfe, instructions please."

Lazlò listened to Erin`s words and gazed at Wolfe.

"Suspecting that you are in charge then I might tell you something, you can take me as a prisoner and I can cause one hell of a mess or you can treat me well so that I won`t start a hell and might even prove co-operative"

Shade stood and picked up the gun and nodded her thanks, for she had lost her voice and then she left.

Inferring he would be in dire straits if not for the interference, Wolfe offered Merrin a nod of gratitude. "Pretty words," he replied, producing a length of thick rope and proceeded to bind the prisoner's hands. "Seeing as this brilliant lady is the one holding a gun to your head, you really have no room for negotiation."

He prodded the stranger to his feet with the barrel of his Desert Eagle. "Up the hatch you go." He didn't know what other traps the man'd set in these close confines, and he wasn't sure he wanted to find out.

"Why thank you," said Erin lightly, still aiming the gun at Lazlo just to be safe. "I'd always thought I was brilliant, myself. Are you all right, Shade?"
